Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained on-site. A chain fence has been erected on the perimeter of the building SCP-XXXX is located in, encompassing the structure and the adjacent parking lot under the guise of renovation. Plainclothes security officers are to discretely guard entry to the building lot.
As the roads near the site experience moderate to heavy traffic, in the occurrence of a Type-L event, Procedure-S3 must be performed immediately.
SCP-XXXX was brought to the Foundation's attention
Due to Incident XXXX-1, all personnel are required to use noise-suppression earplugs while inside the building.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a cast iron safe dated 1879, located in the basement of an abandoned department store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. SCP-XXXX is cuboid in shape, being 1.4 meters in height and length. SCP-XXXX is bolted to the floor using an unknown metal alloy. As of writing, all attempts to remove SCP-XXXX have been unsuccessful.
Lettering on the front of SCP-XXXX attributes the manufacturing to Cunningham Safe and Lock Company. No such company is known to have existed during the dated year.
SCP-XXXX-1 is an analog stopwatch affixed to the front of the safe. The watch hand moves one second counter-clockwise roughly every 24 hours.
