Description: SCP-4407 is a 4-inch long silver laser pointer. Each instance of SCP-4407 was found within a small, rectangular box made out of stainless steel. This packaging identifies SCP-1553 as “Dr. Wondertainment®'s Riveting Laser Pointer”. On the bottom face of SCP-4407’s packaging is a paragraph of text that reads:
SCP-4407 is almost perfectly cylindrical, apart from a small button 1 inch from the end, and one small LED light bulb at the front end.
SCP-4407 doesn’t contain a battery of any sort, and doesn’t appear to require electrical energy to function. As a result, it is unaffected by electromagnetic pulses of any strength. SCP-4407 is fully waterproof, flame-resistant and has also displayed the ability to resist corrosion indefinitely, in any environment.
When the button on SCP-4407 is pressed, it will function like an ordinary, high quality, laser pointer, emitting a beam of red light onto a single point (designated SCP-4407-1). This beam can continue indefinitely, and it’s brightness is unaffected by any non-opaque substance.
Upon seeing SCP-4407-1, creatures will immediately pursue it showing little to no regard for their own safety or the safety of others. This affects all creatures with the ability to see, including mammals, reptiles, humans and even some SCPs, although insects are not effected in this way and nor is the one pressing the button on SCP-4407.
