Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard containment chamber in Site-██. Personnel are to be administered Class-A amnestics after exposure to SCP-XXXX. All personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX are to be outfitted with helmets that block the view of SCP-XXXX (see Incident Report-1A).
Description: SCP-XXXX is a sphere made of an unknown material (see Experiment Log-1B) with a circumference of 0.25m. When observed by any sapient being (directly or otherwise), they seem to perceive the sphere as being one of the SCP objects that they have previously informed of (whether through observing it first-hand or hearing of it through others). The person(s) observing SCP-XXXX will then attempt to call security and report a breach of the SCP object whom they are believing to be there in place of SCP-XXXX. Attempts to assure the affected personnel that they are really observing SCP-XXXX have failed, with the affected person ignoring the assurance and continuing to attempt to get security. Personnel affected will slowly be driven insane by this over the course of 10 minutes. 10 minutes after exposure to SCP-XXXX, personnel will begin hostile behavior towards Foundation personnel. This will continue until termination or amnestic treatment.
| Experiment Log-1A | |
| Subject | D-10278 |
| Protocol | D-10278 was instructed to enter the chamber and look at SCP-XXXX |
| Results | D-10278 entered the containment chamber and began to stare at SCP-XXXX. After a few minutes, D-10278 began yelling for security, and yelled, "The statue is out! That damned statue is out here!" After a few minutes, he was let out of the containment chamber, upon which he showed extreme hostility towards Foundation personnel. He charged at Dr. ███████, and was promptly terminated by security officers assigned to SCP-XXXX. |
| Experiment Log-1B | |
| Subject | SCP-XXXX |
| Protocol | Personnel wearing blindfolds were instructed to enter the chamber of SCP-XXXX with chisels and chip a piece off of the sphere for use in the mass spectrometer. |
| Results | The personnel were unable to even dent the sphere with a chisel, request for a Vickers hardness test pending approval. |
Incident Report 1-A: After D-10278 was terminated (see Experiment Log-1A), Security Officer Danielle Ross glanced SCP-XXXX, causing her to be convinced that she had found SCP-1048. She reported this on the radio. Staff had attempted to secure her for amnestic treatment, but failed. She had then become angered at the staff members who attempted to secure her, shouting swears at them. After the 10 minute threshold had been passed, she became angered, and began yelling at Foundation personnel. This quickly escalated, and Security Officer Ross then proceeded to open fire on multiple personnel. She was swiftly gunned down by security reinforcements, but this caused 6 foundation casualties.
