Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a standard 29-gallon
glass aquarium. The aquarium is to be furnished with a thick layer of soil, a pool of river water, and foliage, all from the area to which the current instance of SCP-XXXX is native. The aquarium is to be misted with water from the same source once per hour for three (3) minutes. When proper it becomes necessary (as determined by the site veterinarian), SCP-XXXX is to be placed on life support, or, with majority O5 approval, SCP-XXXX is to be kept alive via anomalous means.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a frog that currently resembles a male of the species Pseudacris Nigrita both in appearance and physiology, save for a marking on its lower back resembling the third rune of ███████████. It is not currently known if this is a kind of countdown or if it is simply random. When an individual comes in to physical contact with SCP-XXXX, any one of a plethora of effects⁠—either good or bad⁠—may occur at random based on the individual's knowledge, or lack thereof, regarding frogs in general. How SCP-XXXX determines a subject's knowledge is unknown. SCP-XXXX is not believed to be sentient.

+ Known Effects

All effects are assumed to be able to occur multiple times

• Subjects who believe frogs can "breathe" underwater like fish are then unable to breathe at all when submerged in any liquid, even via a snorkel, SCUBA gear, or anomalous means

• Subjects who know that frogs are amphibious gain an approximate 15% increase in lung capacity as well as unusually high water retention, even in hot, arid climates.

• Subjects who exhibit extensive knowledge of frogs experience a strong euphoria for as long as contact is maintained

• Subjects who understand the method by which frogs can stick to and climb vertical surfaces are granted the ability to replicate said ability for themselves. Conversely,

• Subjects who do not understand the aforementioned ability begin perpetually secreting mucous from their hands and feet

• Subjects who display a sexual fetish for frogs [Data Expunged]

• Subjects who mistake SCP-XXXX for a toad contract a single incurable wart on his/her back

1. A previous instance of SCP-XXXX was in containment until it died of natural causes in 19██. Four years later, the current instance of SCP-XXXX was discovered in ███████. As it is virtually impossible as well as exceedingly impractical to either track, capture, or destroy every frog on earth, SCP-XXXX has been re-classified as keter.
