Item #: SCP-XXXX
Clearance Level: 2 / Restricted
Object Class: Safe (See: Addendum 2)
Disruption Class: 2 / Vlam
Risk Class: 3 / Warning
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within a concrete containment chamber with plexiglass shielding, with a single sliding security door for entry and exit. This chamber should have dimensions not exceeding 2 meters in height, 3 meters in width, and 3 meters in length, and should not have any extraneous openings except for those required for personnel to access the containment chamber’s interior.
Once daily, 2 HAZMAT-certified personnel with 2/XXXX clearance are to feed SCP-XXXX, with one individual holding open SCP-XXXX’s Esophageal Sphincter, and the other administering the dietary solution; for SCP-XXXX’s dietary guidelines, see Document XXXX-1. If SCP-XXXX is for any reason unable to be fed, containment staff are to sanitize the containment chamber of the resultant stomach acid, and dispose of it in compliance with Non-Anomalous Hazardous Biological Waste protocols.
Addendum 3/3/2020: Alterations to SCP-XXXX’s classification are under consideration; see Addendum 2 for more information.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a disembodied human stomach that gradually grows to fill any space in which it is contained; in addition to this anomalous quality, SCP-XXXX possesses a number of additional biological abnormalities, which are as follows:
- SCP-XXXX does not possess a Pyloric Sphincter, and does not produce any waste or excretions except in the case that it is not sufficiently fed.
- SCP-XXXX’s outer lining is extremely durable, possessing exceptional resistance to irritation and able to sustain moderate physical force without ill effect.
- SCP-XXXX’s outer lining also contains numerous pores, which are able to spray stomach acid in response to agitation or hunger; see below.
SCP-XXXX requires regular feeding, and when left unfed will spray stomach acid from several of its pores. This stomach acid is seemingly non-anomalous, but if unchecked can be produced in large quantities. This also occurs if SCP-XXXX experiences substantial physical force, or is fed any non-edible object or substance.
SCP-XXXX will attempt to grow into any opening left in its container for a significant length of time; however, it is unable to exert any physical force whatsoever, allowing it to be blocked by a sufficiently tight seal on any entrances. SCP-XXXX’s dietary demands increase with its size, as does its stomach acid production.
Currently, it is unknown how SCP-XXXX disposes of waste; visual examination of SCP-XXXX’s interior revealed nothing of substance.
Addendum 1: Incident Log
Incident XXXX-1
Date: 3/15/2020
Description: At 11:35 AM, SCP-XXXX’s HAZMAT staff were ordered to the D-Class barracks in order to assist in enacting emergency quarantine procedures in relation to an unforeseen COVID-19 outbreak in the D-Class population, causing SCP-XXXX’s 12:00 PM feeding to be missed. Full quarantine was not fully achieved until 2:47 PM, at which point SCP-XXXX had been excreting stomach acid for 2 hours; the subsequent cleanup took over an hour to complete.
Note: This marks the first incident involving SCP-XXXX since its current classification and containment procedures were adopted.
