Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5079 is held in the village of Poljanec, Croatia where it is guarded by a guard unit from 7 pm to 6 am, there also is a guard unit patrolling Barren island. The area sorrounding SCP-5079 in a 5 km radius is to be secured and forbbiden access to anyone under the age of 18. SCP-5079 is to be fed a cow calf on a weekly basis.
Description: SCP-5079 is a statue made mostly out of hay and the center being made up of a mixture of blood and black residue which is used for digestion. It was found in a Slavonian village in Croatia due to the mysterious disappearances of people and livestock in the area and to our knowledge it has moved three times (all three times inside the borders of Croatia) but that number could be a lot larger. SCP-5079 is approximately 6 meters in height but this may vary from season to season as the SCP changes in appearance during the different seasons. If anyone attempts to harm SCP-5079 during its active state between 7pm and 6 am they will be consumed by SCP-5079 and will be digested trough a 2 month period. The statues are capable of moving if they dont get fed or they are disturbed too often so tests are restricted and only staff members with a level 3 clearance are allowed to conduct tests.
If any children misbehave in the 5 km radius area of SCP-5079 they will disappear from the area and will appear on Barren island (designated SCP-5079-1) in the Adriatic sea, after being transported to SCP-5079-1 the children will begin to show symptoms of SCP-5079-A which include memory loss and fatigue. SCP-5079-A is an illness that effects people transported by SCP-5079 to SCP-5079-1. SCP-5079-A will start by affecting people with the symptoms listed above and will slowly start to turn its victims into pieces of hay trough a 3 month period.
SCP-5079-A will usually progress in the following manner:
First week
After the initial memory loss and fatigue, for the first 7 days the subject suffering from SCP-5079-A will appear as nothing happened and wont remember anything from the teleportation to the moment when it was recovored.
Days 8-30
The subject will start having dry and rough skin, will start to lose hair and have dry mouth.
2nd month
Complete hair loss all over the body and severe kidney pain.
3rd month
In the last month the subject will start vommiting ucontrollably at random parts of the evening, sleep depravation will begin during the last two weeks and on the last two days pieces of hay will start clogging the throat and windpipe until the subject dies at which point its body will sart turning into hay.
During WW1 Austria-Hungary founded a camp for war prisoners from the eastern front and in the years following many have reported seeing children on the island with no one knowing how the children got there. If the children remembered how to get home the personell on the island helped them get a boat and back to their homes and if not they were sent to foster homes. After the defeat of the central powers in WW1 the SCP-5079-1 was undisturbed until 1948. when the Yugoslavian authoroties opened a camp for political prisoners at which point they also started to notice the children appearing out of nowhere and also started to send them to foster homes. The Foundation found SCP-5079 in the morning of 8/3/1974. and as they started to observe the abilities of SCP-5079 they started to realise from where the children came from.
