Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a standard anomalous item locker at Site-██ in a custom 3D-printed stand. The blade must not rest upon or apply pressure to any surface.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a large chef's knife, with a 20 cm stainless steel blade, and a 8 cm black composite handle, massing 200 g. There are marks of manufacturer visible on the handle, however these are worn to unreadability.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects occur whenever the blade is applying pressure upon an object. When pressure is applied by the blade, all areas of the object within 0.5 cm of the blade begins converting to chocolate sponge cake. The cake contains the following layers:

  • A 0.1 cm layer of fondant, with the exact texture, color, and feel to the original object. Its flavor is vanilla.
  • A 4 cm layer of chocolate sponge cake. The cake is a non-anomalous chocolate sponge cake, with the physical and chemical properties of such.
  • A 0.2 cm layer of vanilla icing.

If the object is thicker than 4.3 cm, the cake and icing layers alternate until the knife reaches the other side of the object, where the fondant layer returns.

It has been found that the rate of conversion to cake is directly proportional to the amount of pressure exerted by the blade. Cutting an object with the edge of the knife has a conversion rate 7.23 times faster than applying pressure with the edge of the blade. This conversion rate is exponential, increasing at approximately 1 cm/min2.
