Item#: (IDK)
Object class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-(IDK) is to be kept in a standard Site 64 Containment Unit. In the event of camera failure metal barriers will drop down obstructing any view of SCP-(IDK) while repairs can be made. The barriers will only stay down for approximately 24 hours before retracting.
In the event of testing the cameras will switch to exposed mode, where they blur out the details of SCP-(IDK) while testing on it can be carried out. Once a test subject has been placed in the room with SCP-(IDK) the glass walls around SCP-(IDK) will retract one by one. Allowing the test to be carried out.
SCP-(IDK)’s containment cell must be cleaned following all tests. To accommodate for this a metal sheet will drop directly next to SCP-(IDK) preventing any contact with unauthorised personnel to be made.
In case of a containment breach SCP-(IDK)’s containment cell will air seal itself, and the barriers will drop preventing any unnecessary contact with SCP-(IDK).Once the containment breach has been resolved, and the proper requirements are met, Scientists can use an open access terminal and type in the code word [data expunged] to pull SCP-(IDK)’s cell out of lockdown procedures.
All written/photo copies of SCP-(IDK) are to be labeled an SCP-(IDK)-2 and are to be terminated. Terminations must be preformed with the supervision of Project lead ███ ██████. Terminations must be preformed by shredding an SCP-(IDK)-2 then dumping the shredded remains into a contained fire.
Description: SCP-(IDK) is a collection of about twelve pages from the Codex Gigas. They were removed from the book by the foundation on [data expunged] while the codex gigas was being stored at [data expunged]. The pages are written in a form of gibberish, that has yet to be deciphered.
The deciphering process for SCP-(IDK) has proven difficult, as SCP-(IDK) has been known to kill anyone who attempts to read large portions of it. Though on some rare occasions there have been survivors, but in all cases the survivors are irreversible brain damaged.
SCP-(IDK)’s anomalous ability is not just confined to itself however, but can transefer to copies of itself. These copies as previously mentioned are known as SCP-(IDK)-2.
SCP-(IDK) while being read seems to give the brain instructions to break itself down. After approximately a page and a half, the brain will melt inside of the victims head. At this point the victim has died, but the process is not finished. Approximately three minutes after initial death the victim’s head will combust! It is believed that the combustion is caused by build up of methane gas from the melted brain cells.
