Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature and widespread effects of SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX can not be contained by normal means. Theoretically, however, the effects of SCP-XXXX can be contained, at least in a political sense, but widespread belief in SCP-XXXX and multiple historical documents edited at least in part by SCP-XXXX makes civil containment virtually impossible.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a memetic agent that, when triggered, makes an individual reference a point in the United States of America between the years 1861 and 1865 that consisted of a civil conflict between southern states¹ and northern states² over multiple debates, notably slavery, which was outlawed within the United States in 1865.

SCP-XXXX's effects have lead to a worldwide phenomenon which is a universal recognition of this civil conflict, which has been dubbed the "American Civil War" by the international and domestic community. This has had adverse affects on both American and international society; modern
ultranationalist political groups, notably within the United States and the Federal Republic of Germany use the battle flag of the "Army of Northern Virginia," which has been cited to be the main battle force of the "Confederate States of America," the pro-slavery southern belligerent described by the effects of SCP-XXXX. This battle flag first appeared within the mid 19th century after the dates of SCP-XXXX's effects.

These "southern states" are states below the Mason-Dixon Line that practiced the act of human slavery; notably Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Texas, as well as claims of Kentucky, Missouri, the southern halves of modern-day New Mexico and Arizona, and parts of the modern state of Oklahoma.

2. These "northern states" are states that did not include the aforementioned slave states, including Missouri, Kentucky, all of New Mexico and Arizona, and modern day Oklahoma.
