Description:

SCP-1397 is a carnivorous, hyper-aggressive variant of Hylocichla Mustelina (wood thrush), primarily present in central areas of Wyoming (few reports have been recorded in adjacent areas). SCP-1397 exhibits behavioural patterns similar to piranhas in the Serrisalmanae family, partaking in feeding frenzies, and have very little coordination, often simply chasing prey randomly and wildly. SCP-1397 bears an extremely efficient reproductive system, females laying clutches of 25-60 in number. Incubation time ranges from 25 secs. to 6 six minutes. Infants reach adulthood approx. 20 minutes after hatching, in which they will experience an astronomical boost in chemical libido/adrenaline, causing them to immediately mate with the nearest female. Shortly after mating, males will die. Females will lay a clutch of eggs 17 seconds after mating, and continue life thereafter.
SCP-1397’s plumage is rich with primarily asbestos, although trace amounts of hutchinsonite have been discovered in 2 of 7 individuals. It is thus recommended personnel not approach SCP-1397 past a 3-foot limit.
13 instances of SCP-1397 are capable of stripping a single Holstein cattle to bone within 29 seconds. Almost immediately after intake of food, SCP-1397 will violently expel stomach contents via emesis.
SCP-1397 was discovered in [DATA EXPUNGED], 3/7/12, when 4 cattle were found stripped of flesh. A possible anomaly was discussed when small incisions, similar to that of wood thrush, were found along the remaining length of the carcasses. 6 months after initial investigations, multiple eyewitness accounts were reported.

SCP-1397 has been traced back to illegal imported goods originating from [DATA EXPUNGED], 194 miles off the shore of Jamaica. It is thought the natural presence of ███ has abolished their abundance in these areas.
