Alright so I'll summarize the unnecessary stuff, so here it goes:
Cup and I took a plane out to Salt Lake City. I booked a hotel near to where this Maniqui town was and we packed regular camping gear and winter gear, so not the usual backpacking stuff for summer trips that we go on cause you guys know I hate the damn snow. Cup wanted to go in wintertime cause she's into skiing and so we dropped off stuff at the hotel and went to a local ski resort. The thing to do around there, I guess. So we go skiing and have fun and then we come back to the hotel and spend the night there.

We get up the next morning and drive 30 miles into a national forest to this town. I guess there isn't much contact from the outside world to this place so we had super limited cell service. Small pockets of 1 bar here and there but basically nothing. When we get to this town, we found a little inn to stay in for three nights and drop our stuff off. We walked around town looking into the various shops and stores selling native american jewelry and knick-knacks, and then come across this one museum about urban legends. Of course there's nobody in there, except the one dude running the place. He was super old, probably 70's. But he knew what he was talking about. I asked him what kind of legends the place is known for and he told this strange story about this monster that comes out of the forest at night. He didn't really describe the monster too much, just said that it's the scariest damn thing you'll ever see, and you'll know it when you see it. That gave me the chills but I asked some other people in the town about the legends and they said the guy was Lyle and he had lost his family when he was young and was only there because the town let him. Sad story, but we continued walking around town and then we went back to the hotel.

I saw the guy telling some kids the same fuckin story, same words too. It's like he just has a formula to get you to buy stuff. He had some "found footage" tapes in the back. Cup wanted to get one cause she thought it was cool. I wasn't buying it though.
