SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, containment of SCP-XXXX itself is impossible. Capture and containment of instances of SCP-XXXX-1 should be the first priority of foundation personnel. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 should be immediately located by MTF Rho-17 ("Sleeping Dogs") and contained.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 should be immediately detained and transported to Area-32. Instances are to be placed in standard humanoid containment units. Should instances breach containment or become excessively difficult to contain, on-site security is to neutralize instances of SCP-XXXX-1 without delay. Following extermination, instances are to be disposed of via. incineration.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a currently uncontained phenomenon which overwhelms numerous individuals in random locations throughout the world with an anomalous compulsion of varying degree, individuals are hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. The source of the phenomenon of SCP-XXXX is currently unknown. Once affected by SCP-XXXX, individuals immediately begin sprinting with no perceivable goal (see Addendum XXXX-B). No obstacle has yet proven sufficient in obstructing any instance of SCP-XXXX-1.
Identification of instances of SCP-XXXX-1 show histories of extreme phobias, most commonly nyctophobia. Once affected by SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 instances become violent to those in the immediate area. Instances have been observed crying and screaming hysterically until rupturing of vocal cords. Deprivation of sleep, lack of food or water and potentially lethal injury have produced no effect on SCP-XXXX-1 instances.
Currently, six instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are contained at Area-02. Class-A amnestics have proven unsuccessful in suppressing anomalous effects.
Addendum XXXX-A: After studying and mapping out movements of instances of SCP-XXXX-1, Dr Charlotte █████████, noted previous 12 instances of SCP-XXXX-1 were attempting to reach the same area in [REDACTED], Africa. Dr. █████████ has proposed tracking an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 without interruption.
Addendum XXXX-B: It has been theorized after vocalisations heard from previous SCP-XXXX-1 instances that the SCP-XXXX phenomenon appears to threaten them by anomalously amplifying their fears. Numerous instances of SCP-XXXX-1 referenced twisted or multiplied versions of their most profound fears. Researchers have hypothesized that an individual's susceptibility directly correlates to the severity of their phobias.
Addendum XXXX-C: After tracking an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 successfully, the instance joined several yet undiscovered instances attempting to dig up the ground in a 20m x 20m square area. Instances were contained, and excavation of the area has commenced.
Addendum XXXX-D: After completely excavating the area, a large metal box was discovered and moved to Area-02, hereafter referred to as “SCP-XXXX-2”. A series of documents were recovered with this box. Documents recovered vary between multiple languages, one language of which is currently unknown to foundation records and files. The article of SCP-XXXX is to be rewritten.
Addendum XXXX-E: SCP-XXXX has been recognised as an SCP previously described to the foundation by SCP-███. [REDACTED].
SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-2 is to be contained in a 12m x 12m x 7m reinforced chamber at Armed Containment Facility Area-64. All onsite staff must be rotated out every 3 months and screened for psychological effects. Doors to the chamber of SCP-XXXX will be magnetically locked, openable only by two monitors simultaneously granting access.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be neutralized on sight and remains immediately incinerated (see Addendum XXXX-F).
In the event of a containment breach, the containment area cell of SCP-XXXX-2 is to be filled with transparent shock-absorbing gel. Any individual with information concerning the whereabouts of any instances of SCP-XXXX-3 is to be interviewed before immediate detainment and administration class-B amnestics before release. Instances of SCP-XXXX-3 are to be immediately contained.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-3 are to be contained in standard storage lockers (see Addendum XXXX-E). All testing regarding SCP-XXXX is to be approved by no less than two-thirds of O5 Command has been suspended until further notice.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a large jade and black, metal box, approximately 9m x 9m x 6m, ornately embellished with artwork, symbols and depictions of [REDACTED] protruding from a large body of liquid. A large 5m high, 4m wide, semi-oval door remains shut on one side of SCP-XXXX. A series of jade letters of an unknown language is carved into the walls of SCP-XXXX in different locations. Translation of this writing is currently underway.
SCP-XXXX-1 is the designation given to individuals psychologically affected by SCP-XXXX. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are violent and have remained unimpeded by pain, starvation, dehydration and exhaustion. Once affected by SCP-XXXX, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will immediately begin sprinting towards the nearest instance of SCP-XXXX-2, then attempt to insert said instance into SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-2 are 10 black skeleton keys of ornate design. Each instance is paired with one of 10 keyholes on SCP-XXXX-2. Currently, five SCP-XXXX-2 instances are inserted into SCP-XXXX (See Addendum XXXX-B). SCP-XXXX-2-6 is currently in temporary containment. The whereabouts of SCP-XXXX-2-7-10 are currently unknown.
Once SCP-XXXX is opened, it is hypothesized to release the entity within, known as SCP-XXXX-3. Current information concerning SCP-XXXX-3 was gathered in an interview with SCP-███ and upon examination of documents discovered along with SCP-XXXX. Despite Foundation efforts, attempts to decrypt the symbols on SCP-XXXX have been met with failure.
Physical contact with any instance of SCP-XXXX-2 develops the holder into an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. This effect also manifests when remaining near SCP-XXXX for prolonged periods of time. Once inserted, removal of any of these keys from SCP-XXXX is, thus far, inviable.
Addendum XXXX-A: The holes and surface of SCP-XXXX are to be filled with cement to prevent insertion of SCP-XXXX-3 in the future. (See Addendum XXXX-B)
Addendum XXXX-B: Numerous instances of SCP-XXXX-1 dug through the shock-absorbing fluid and killed the security staff guarding the containment chamber to SCP-XXXX-2. Cement inserted into SCP-XXXX’s keyholes became immediately non-corporeal after corrupted D-class personnel attempted to insert SCP-XXXX-6 into SCP-XXXX. Instances were neutralized by onsite security, however, SCP-XXXX-6 was successfully inserted.
Addendum XXXX-C: SCP-XXXX-7 has been recovered after security personnel corrupted by SCP-XXXX attempted to insert SCP-XXXX-7 into SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-7 has been contained similarly to SCP-XXXX-6's previous containment. Stricter psychological screening has been put in place to detect cognitohazardous effects. Revised containment procedures for instances of SCP-XXXX are currently underway.
Addendum XXXX-D: Dr Charlotte █████████ noted that the number of instances of SCP-XXXX-1 has increased by 120% to ███ instances per month. This has resulted in many more attempting to enter Area-64. Due to this, security measures surrounding SCP-XXXX are to be increased.
Addendum XXXX-E: On 11/6/2019, after instances of SCP-XXXX-1 infiltrated the containment cell of SCP-XXXX-7, SCP-XXXX-7 was inserted into the SCP-XXXX. This caused a sudden [DATA EXPUNGED] resulting in the neutralisation of several SCP's contained at Area-64. The investigation into subsequent deaths of Researchers ████ and ███████ and Director ████████ is ongoing. On the corpse of one instance of SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-8 was discovered. All future instances of SCP-XXXX-8-13 are instead to be stored in 1m x 1m x 1m cubes submerged in molten steel at Site-11. Area-64 is to be immediately notified upon loss of SCP-XXXX-8, at which point MTF Epsilon-11 ("Nine-Tailed Fox") is to be immediately dispatched to re-contain SCP-XXXX-8.
Addendum XXXX-F: Dr Charlotte █████████ has been promoted to Area Director following the death of the previous Director ████████ following the events of 11/6/2019. Director █████████ has prioritized decryption of documents discovered with SCP-XXXX.
Addendum XXXX-G: Following a gathering of instances of SCP-XXXX-1 spotted close to Site-11 by on-site monitoring equipment, foundation staff at Site-11 were immediately notified and security response was dispatched to combat the threat. (See Event Log XXXX-A).
Mission Parameters: To Ascertain and Contain the current group of instances of SCP-XXXX-1 residing outside of Site-11.
Personnel: MTF-Delta 5 ("Frontrunners")
Additional Information: MTF-Delta 5 comprised of 4 members deployed in a foundation chopper.
Mission was overseen by level 4 researcher Dr Xi Zhang
