SCP-XXXX

Object Class- Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard animal pen with two cat food bowls- one for food, the other for water. Personnel are advised to keep their eyes up, only being allowed to view SCP-XXXX with their peripheral vision. A D-Class will be sent every morning and evening to feed SCP-XXXX, water it, and clean its litter box.

Description:

SCP-XXXX's appearance may change depending on a subject's preference, ranging from a small tabby kitten to [DATA EXPUNGED]. Anyone who views SCP-XXXX directly will begin making odd cooing noises and will speak to it like an infant, using popular phrases like "who's a little baby" and "look at you, I could snuggle you forever!" Several subjects who have come into contact with SCP-XXXX have described it as "the most adorable thing on Earth." Subjects will attempt to reach SCP-XXXX at any cost, and may resort to property damage or homicide to come into contact with it. If killed, SCP-XXXX will reappear 5m away from its body. It's remains will manifest into SCP-XXXX-A, a shambling mess of organs. SCP-XXX-A must be disposed of immediately, it is incredibly dangerous.
Experiment: Several SCP Foundation Personnel transferred SCP-682 into SCP-XXXX's enclosure.
Results: SCP-682: "What is that thing? It's… so…" SCP-682 trails off and begins babbling incoherently. After about 5 minutes, SCP-682 moves in to pet SCP-XXXX, and accidentally crushes it. SCP-682's "baby-ish" effects wear off, and it "smiles" and makes a show of stomping SCP-XXXX's remains. SCP-XXXX re-appears 5ft behind it. Dr.████, notably distressed by SCP-682 stomping his childhood hamster, aborts the experiment.
A D-Class with a history of animal abuse is told to enter SCP-XXXX's chamber and attempt to hurt it.
Result: Upon looking at SCP-XXXX, the D-Class starts muttering apologies and the usual babbles. The D-Class in question reported SCP-XXXX appearing as one of his son's dogs, who he abandoned when moving out of his house in ██-██-████. He claims it spoke to him, cried, and asked him "why? Why did you leave me?" The dog he was referring to was rescued and sent to ██████ Animal Shelter in ████, █ years before the experiment.
