Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be employed at Area-XX-A. SCP-XXXX-2 is to be employed as the Area-XX-A Residence Hall Director. SCP-XXXX-3 and SCP-XXXX-4 are to be housed in the Area-XX-A Residence Hall and attend classes at Area-XX’s on-site school, their rooms and grades are to be monitored for anomalous inconsistencies.

Under no circumstance may anyone discuss the nature of SCP-XXXX with SCP-XXXX. Any personnel found attempting to do so will be removed from Area-XX.

Description: SCP-XXXX refers to a family whose house anomalously improves to surpass any adjacent houses. SCP-XXXX must be housed together for the anomalous property to manifest so no single instance of SCP-XXXX holds anomalous properties alone.

SCP-XXXX-1 “Mr. ██████ Jones” is the father of the family. SCP-XXXX-2 “Mrs. ██████ Jones” is the mother of the family. SCP-XXXX-3 and SCP-XXXX-4 are fraternal twins and the children of the family, age ██, SCP-XXXX-3 “█████ Jones” being male and SCP-XXXX-4 “███████ Jones” being female.

When SCP-XXXX-1 perceives anything it sees as an improvement to any residential building adjacent to it's house, it will change to include and accommodate the new addition. There seems to be no upper limit to how extensive the changes can be, nor any sort of required time between improvements. However, SCP-XXXX seems unable to replicate sentient beings, anomalous objects and or anything else SCP-XXXX-1 is unable to fully comprehend, either failing to replicate the object at all or producing a non-anomalous replica.

SCP-XXXX disables the ability to perceive the anomalous changes as anything other than ordinary in any individuals living in adjacent housing and passive observers have only been able to notice the changes in rare cases without being either extremely paranoid or told beforehand.

  • SCP-XXXX will not activate correctly if SCP-XXXX-1 does not fully perceive and understand the change.
  • SCP-XXXX will not activate if SCP-XXXX-1 does not see the change as an improvement.
  • SCP-XXXX will not activate if SCP-XXXX-1 cannot physically communicate with the owner of the house in question either verbally or non-verbally.

On the request of Foundation personnel of Level 5 or higher, alternative containment procedures can be found in the Conclusion section of SCP-XXXX's Incident and Experiment Log.

Discovery Log: SCP-XXXX was discovered on 14-06-19██ in a Midwestern neighborhood when Agent Noah, who had moved into the neighborhood earlier in the week, noticed a discrepancy telling Foundation officials of the suspicious activity.

Pulling up local Building permits for the area, The Foundation noticed a discrepancy, there was no building permit on file for SCP-XXXX's house but was for the house next to it for the change the agent described. Dr. ████████ was assigned to the case and upon initial investigation deemed it a potential risk to a site's structural integrity to contain the family without further research.

Early Containment: The foundation covertly bought and evacuated all 8 adjacent houses to SCP-XXXX over the course of a month for preliminary research so an appropriate containment procedure could be put in place. Interviews under the pretense of being necessary to finalize the purchase of the properties were conducted for all leaving families who all reported no strange activity from SCP-XXXX. However, in Interview 3, important information on the nature of SCP-XXXX was discovered.

Interview 3

Interviewed: Mr. Justin Parker

Interviewer: Dr. ████████ posing as a buyer with Junior Researcher ██████ assisting.

Description: Justin Parker speaking on his living situation.

<Begin Log>

Dr. ████████: Please state your name for the record.

Mr. Parker: No problem, It's Justin Parker.

Dr. ████████: Is there anything we should know about the neighborhood before we move in?

Mr. Parker: I mean not much… Don't fuck with the HOA, they are the ones that actually own the house.

Mr. Parker begins audibly laughing at this point.

Dr. ████████: interesting… how about the neighbors?

Mr. Parker: The Coopers are ok, it's the Joneses you have to worry about.

Dr. ████████: Why would we have to worry about the Joneses?

Mr. Parker: Now I'm not one for gossip and they're nice enough people but, You just can't compete with Joneses.

Dr. ████████: Can you elaborate on that please, Mr. Parker?

Mr. Parker: Every cookout, every 4th of July, every Christmas, Halloween, I buy a fifty-inch for the big game… He has a sixty-inch, 4k, I could go on, they go all out on every occasion. Honestly, I don't think ██████ sleeps. And between you and me, ██████ is a great guy but I think he knows he is getting under your skin. Just keep that in mind if you plan to throw any parties.

Dr. ████████: Thank you, Mr. Parker, I'll go get the paperwork.

<End Log>

Notes: Previous Interviews seemed to corroborate the Jones's and the Parker's long standing tradition of competing parties.

Further investigation in later interviews determined parties thrown by the Jones family are generally seen as better than parties thrown by the Parker family.

after a temporary containment radius was established experiments on SCP-XXXX-1 were conducted and logged.

Proposal XXXX-A "One-Up" (Revision 2):

Name: Dr. ██████ ████████

Name: One-Up

Cost: ~725 mil USD

Description: Project One-Up entails the employment of SCP-XXXX-1 as a candidate for the position of area director and the construction of two new and adjacent sites temporarily referred to as Area A and Area B. Area A will be directed by SCP-XXXX-1 and Area B will be directed by a potential area director candidate that has shown themselves to be of a highly competitive nature. Area A and B should be equipped as experimental research and Containment Areas with dormitories and other services required for long term habitation.

Potential Benefits:

  • Using SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties the foundation can expect an ~200% return on all investments of containment and research utilities to Area B as Area A anomalously replicates them.
  • A potential case study in foundation staff and their families being housed in-area, a practice that might be potentially useful during a K-Class Event.
  • Areas A and B as a unit would be uniquely equipped to contain anomalies with instances that need to be contained similarly but separately.

For the purpose of maintaining SCP-XXXX's ignorance to his anomalous properties and to keep all other Area A and B personnel and inhabitants unaware, alternative reasoning must be presented internally to both Area Directors and personnel of clearance level 3 and under in The Foundation.

Internal Reference:

Operation Safe Keeping

Description: Safe Seeping entails Areas A and B will report all facility changes and security concerns to each other and the foundation on a bi-weekly basis, doing this increases accountability in both areas. Along with this, Areas A and B will also include on-site Dormitories available to Site personnel and their families.

Purpose:

  • Areas A and B will report to each other to increase accountability in both areas as each Area Director can act as Assistant Area Director to the other. Security personnel and research staff can also be temporarily transferred between areas as area activity requires it.
  • Areas A and B will supply on-site housing for the families of active area personnel to assess the Foundation's ability to secure the families of personnel in the the event of a K-Class event.

Room and board will be free to active personnel and first degree relatives. Areas A and B along with all accompanying facilities have been newly constructed for the implementation of Project Safe Keeping.

Approved by O5 Command on ██/██/19██.

Recruitment of SCP-XXXX took place on ██/██/19██ when foundation recruiters were sent to SCP-XXXX's residence, SCP-XXXX-1 quickly agreed after being promised advancement opportunities, relocation of his family and the recruiters hinting that our workplace environment was extremely competitive.

during a preliminary health exam SCP-XXXX was found to have a lower than average hume level contrary to Foundation suspicion that SCP-XXXX is some kind of reality bender, this means the origins of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties is currently unknown.

Mock Project One-Up

Two identical provisional sites were created in the American Midwest for the sake of the project.

SCP-XXXX was told that this is a normal part of his training and the goal of the experiment was to see if it could functionally live in a provisional site.

both provisional sites were staffed with Project One-Up research staff.

Every attempt to activate SCP-XXXX failed during week 1 testing.

Instead, SCP-XXXX-1 complained to researchers of missing his family and wondering where they are and how the house was doing. On the last week of testing SCP-XXXX-2 SCP-XXXX-3 and SCP-XXXX-4 were brought to the Mock site and kept unaware of the site's nature, after 24 hours of all SCP-XXXX instances being reunited the research team successfully activated SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties.

Addendum: During Project One-Up, Dr. ████████ hypothesized that SCP-XXXX-2, SCP-XXXX-3 and SCP-XXXX-4 may have or will manifest anomalous properties of their own seeing as they all have a similarly low hume level to SCP-XXXX-1 and seem oblivious to SCP-XXXX-1's activities.

SCP-XXXX-3 and SCP-XXXX-4, have consistently had the highest and second highest grades in their year. occasionally swapping positions between them.

Request to monitor SCP-XXXX-3 and SCP-XXXX-4 more closely granted
