Item#: SCP-4342
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4342 is to be stored in a standard Safe-class containment locker, with its stopcock closed. No fluids with an NFPA rating of 1 or higher in any area are to be transferred into the object outside of testing purposes, and as per ethics committee resolution 15496a7, no human bodily fluids may be transferred into the object under any circumstances. After testing is complete, the object is to be rinsed with distilled water, and returned to its containment locker.
Description:
SCP-4342 is a standard 50mL laboratory buret, capable of dispensing fluids from any source within ██m. More precisely, after a liquid is transferred in from the top of the buret and the stopcock opened, the object will transport fluids from any nearby source to the tip of the buret through unknown means, at a rate consistent with others of its make. Once there is no more fluid in the area, the rest of the fluid in the buret will be used as normal. Furthermore, SCP-4342 cannot transport fluids not currently in the liquid or aqueous phase. For example, transferring water into the buret will not result in the desiccation of all nearby material. SCP-4342 has been shown to be almost indestructible, demonstrating resistance to temperatures in excess of 1███K, and no reaction to any concentration of acidic or basic compound dispensed(see experimentation log).
Document #4342 (Recovery):
SCP-4342 was discovered in the University of ███████, Utah, after several cases of fainting and dizziness were attended to by the university's medical center. After no hazardous chemicals were detected in the area connected with the incidents, the foundation were alerted and discovered SCP-4342 in a basement sink with the stopcock open, filled with human blood. SCP-4342 was recovered without incident, though whoever filled the object with blood remains at large.
