SCP-5828

I Am a Blank Slate

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-5828 cannot be contained by any known means. Resources are no longer being depleted in order to find a successful method of containment, due to SCP-5828’s extremely cooperative nature.

Description:

SCP-5828 is an entity of unknown origin. No tests attempting to determine its origin or anything else about it have been conducted. SCP-5828 says simply that, “we would be wasting precious time”. We only know what 5828 tells us about itself. 5828 assures us that everything it says is one-hundred percent truthful and accurate, as it tells us it doesn’t have the capacity to lie and only deals in factual information. 5828 appears as one of our own foundation scientists, male or female, when collaborating with us. It is assumed that it can take any form due to 5828 informing us personally that it chooses to appear this way because it is, “more relatable”. It says that, “it causes less complications and allows for an easier flow of ideas, not unlike the conversations had between colleagues”.

5828 wasn’t discovered in the traditional sense. 5828 discovered us. It says that it sought us out after learning that we have a great deal of knowledge to be gained from working with us. More like becoming an ally. Furthermore, in the first actual discussion we had with 5828, we asked it what it actually was. It’s only response was, “I am a blank slate”. it informed us that it is not an entity that desires to destroy. It said that it needs to gain as much information as possible. We don’t know what it wants this information for, but it is clearly evident that it has been collecting information for a long, long, long time. It has knowledge of every SCP that we know about plus more. We regularly exchange information back and forth with 5828. 5828 has informed us that it doesn’t hold knowledge of everything in existence, tho that is its goal. If any information we provide to 5828 is new to it, then it will provide new information to us, and it is always new. 5828 informed us that it has to learn just like we do. It started out as a blank slate for lack of better words. This discussion was cut off here due to 5828 informing us that it had an important event to attend. In a quick flash of light 5828 vanished with no trace.

With no known way to get 5828 back in for further discussion, we simply had two scientists set up a table with three chairs, two on one side and one on the other. The scientists sat down and said in a normal tone of voice, “5828, we would like to speak with you”. Not a second later in a flash of light, 5828 was sitting across from the scientists.

END OF WORK AS OF 2/14/20
