Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a storage locker at Site-11. Requests for testing, including a full transcript of what will be inputted, must be approved by Dr. Jameson and an additional level-4 clearance personnel.
All tests of SCP-XXXX must activate Dr. Jameson’s containment program before launching the program.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a program located on the desktop of an Acer Aspire One AOA150-1447 8.9-Inch Netbook that has “ADAM” carved into the bottom left corner of the casing. This program, titled “Rosana” is a translation program.
Upon launch, the program prompts the user to select their native language from a drop down menu, however this menu only ever contains the user’s actual native language and an ‘other’ option. Selecting the ‘other’ option will prompt the message (in the user’s native language) “Don’t lie!” and return to the first screen. The method in which the program gains knowledge of the user's native language is unknown as it has been verified that it does not use the operating system's language. SCP-XXXX retains knowledge of previous encounters, these memories are stored in the program’s data.
There are also options to use a camera to translate text from a live video feed, and a microphone option for dictation.
SCP-XXXX was recovered in the northeast corner of ███████ ██████ High School in ███████ ██████ Ohio.

(ID) is a book bound in a yellow stained leather measuring 30.48 cm x 44.45 cm x 13.97 cm. A 50 carat, emerald-cut yellow tourmaline gemstone is set into the cover. A lock made of an unidentified metal keeps the book closed. All attempts to count the pages of the book have been inconclusive.
At certain times, (ID) enters an active state. During this time the tourmaline gem glows and the lock opens, allowing the book to be read. Anyone who attempts to read the book will find it written in their native tongue, illiteracy does not affect this. Only those who are genetically human are able to read the book.
When active, the reader becomes a memetic agent that causes all who see the reader to find them to be charismatic and trustworthy. Those affected by the memetic agent will follow any command given to the reader, even if said orders directly harm the individual or go against their beliefs. Affected individuals will protect the reader with their lives. If the book changes hand during an active state then affected individuals will immediately change allegiance to the new reader. The memetic agent disappears when the book becomes dormant.
