Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5672 is
to be kept inside of a 2TB SSD within Dr. ██████’s
Office. The anomalous file is to be locked within an
encrypted folder, the key being only known and
memorized by Dr. ██████ himself. All access of the SCP is prohibited to all other than Dr. ██████. Tests run on SCP-5672 are to be done within a secure viewing room with no more than one viewer at a time, the viewer is to then undergo either psychological rehabilitation or [REDACTED]. During viewing, any test personnel that are not the viewer must be behind opaque walls, no light from the viewing room must get in during testing and light blocking sunglasses must be worn. After testing, all personnel must wait approximately 10 minutes for all light in the room to dissipate before entering. Devices used to broadcast SCP-5672 must be destroyed afterward, no remains of the device should be allowed to be salvaged. Transferring of the file should only happen through secured, end to end encrypted connections. No cameras or other recording devices should be inside the testing chamber at any point in time.
Description: SCP-5672 is described as a video somewhere between 1 minute and 21 to 24 seconds long. The video contains footage of a Tektronix device numbered 4012, this device in question has next to no known records. Tektronix denies any and all involvement or even knowledge of the creation and spread of SCP-5672. During the video, the device seems to perform functions akin to ████████████████████████ and ████████████. Attempts to acquire a 4012 device have proven fruitless, with the device seeming lost to time and the disappearance of the company does not make it any easier. Anomalous properties of the video only begin to manifest themselves when played, these properties can differ depending on what it is played on. Social media applications such as Discord, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. each have unique properties, when the video is played through them. SCP-5672 is a .webm file and as such can be played through almost all forms of social media. When played its effects on the viewer can range from mildly tolerable mental tampering including, induced Alzheimer’s, dementia, and general memory loss, to instantaneous brain failure resulting in death or even [DATA EXPUNGED]. During playback of the video, subjects describe mild nausea, slight lightheadedness, and dizziness to ear splitting sounds and brain pulsations. The video itself is described as constantly ‘growing in length’ and has no set video length until it’s been completely viewed. Subjects always describe paranoia and immense anxiety in a viewing of SCP-5672, and at times wish to leave as to not have to see the end of the video. The ending of the video seems to have the most anomalous properties, as the major permanent symptoms only show up after a complete viewing. Subjects that see the video again for a second time, if they live through the first, will have their memories wiped cleanly. These subjects will then be in a mental state similar to lobotomization and become entirely function-less after a single day. Second viewings have been completely prohibited due to this by [REDACTED] on a unanimous vote.
Addendum 5672-A: Discovery Log
SCP-5672 was first discovered on the social media platform Discord, it was circulating highly populated servers and had been viewed by many people. Immediately the servers were shut down by Foundation Legal Staff, for reasons they will never be aware they did not violate. The Foundation then took to finding and logging all spread of the video, the end to end encryption of the platform not stopping their search. Approximately 187,412 people had seen or received this video in its anomalous form, with nearly 300-400 of those said people found dead in their homes. Massive attempts to find and detain these viewers were made to near perfect success. Any remaining files found were destroyed with only one copy transferred onto a thumb drive that would later be destroyed.
Addendum 5672-B:
No subjects may be allowed to view the video partially. Partial viewings result in an almost cult like behavior. Subjects will beg and plead, even after amnestics are applied, to finish the video. If the subject's request is not answered, despite all measures put in place, they will somehow find themselves inside the viewing room, see Experiment 5672-e-1. After viewing it this time they will [REDACTED] and the viewing room will require extensive janitorial work.

Procedure: D-class subject was placed inside a secured testing chamber, all necessary procedures were taken to ensure light inside the room stayed inside the room, lights were shut off and video was played on a 23” IPS LED FHD Monitor. Subject was given the option to leave at any point in time as to test the effects of partial exposure to the SCP.
Results: Subject D-834626(Female, 21, no discernible mental abnormalities) stepped into the testing chamber and sat down into the chair placed in the room just in front of the monitor. D-834626 began to get anxious as the light in the room began to drain out, the video then began to play. Subject began to describe the video as “getting longer every second it plays”, after which she began stating an immense pulsating sensation originating from her forehead. After being in visibly immense pain, she began to run towards the chamber door, begging “Let me out, you can’t fucking keep me in here. Fuck this stupid fucking video”. The video was stopped and after 10 minutes the subject was allowed to leave the testing chamber. After undergoing psychoanalysis, D-834626 was given amnestics then returned to her cell. Approximately 1 hour after, the subject was found inside the viewing room by Dr. Lily, at which point she proceeded to vomit and [REDACTED] before calling janitorial staff. Further tests showed that she had no physical way to enter the viewing chamber and instead ███████ █████████, where it’s assumed she finished the rest of the video.
