Secured Containment Procedures: All land within a 2-kilometer radius of SCP-XXXX are to be considered part of an exclusion zone. The electrical fence built around the perimeter of the exclusion zone should remain active and operational at all times. Because of SCP-XXXX's dormant state, a maximum of 5 security personnel holding a security clearance of 2 or plus should remain on the premise. Constant surveillance and monitoring of SCP-XXXX, the exclusion zone and all other regions in close proximity with the anomaly should operate 24/7.
If SCP-XXXX were to ever leave its idle state and begin manifestation into a new form, security personnel are to immediately message nearby Area - 45 and request security backup. Mobile Task Force Omicron - 10 "Gatekeepers" are to be dispatched onto the premise and remain on standby for further instructions. Procedure 71-Polyhedral must be enacted the moment the nearby area staff have been alerted of its state change (see Addendum-XXXX-A).
All instances of SCP-XXXX (ranging from SCP-XXXX-1 to -) should be confined in individual chambers with constant 24/7 surveillance. Each will be provided a breakfast, lunch and dinner. Standard Foundation rations must be used unless advised otherwise by medical staff. Specified instances of SCP-XXXX are allowed to roam the Annex under security supervision. All others should remain contained in their directed chambers at all times.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a metal rim of indescribable substance or alloy that has been engraved or established within the surface of a cave wall, with a plasma surface embodying a portal-like appearance. It measures 10 meters in circumference and 1 meter in length. The cave measures 45 meters in height at its highest point, 5 meters in width and extends 65 meters down from the cave opening to SCP-XXXX. The cave has supplied several rare Crystalline materials and precious stones that can and may be utilized by the Foundation in the long-term.
SCP-XXXX in its current state of idleness doesn't exhibit paranormal behavior or prove to be a hazard to organic life on Earth. However, in the rare scenario that SCP-XXXX begins to manifest a new form, a YK-Class Reality Coherence Failure, or an "Anti-Metamorphic Reality", has been suspected to occur (see Addendum-XXXX-B). Theories have been written that hypothesize an information paradox occurrence or the tearing of space time.
SCP-XXXX is believed to take an individual to a parallel world with a thriving civilization and a culture of its own. This theory has been proven through the existence of SCP-XXXX-1 through -6. These entities have claimed to pass through "the Void of the Polythedral" and have traveled to new reality far differing from its own This claim would suggest the existence of several realities coexisting in a singular universe. However, several of these entities have shown to possess several predatory traits which has proven to threaten human existence.
Because of the lacking commons between each instance, separate special containment procedures have been written up for each entity and goes as follows.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 should remain in a 40 meter by 40 meter containment chamber that measures 30 meters in height, during curfew and testing hours. SCP-XXXX-1 may roam the annex during free hours unless advised otherwise by the assigned security adviser and head researcher of SCP-XXXX-1. At least two security personnel of a Level 3 clearance are to stand guard inside the chamber. Security should not interfere with SCP-XXXX-1 activities unless deemed suspicious or pose a threat to safety of nearby personnel.
Because SCP-XXXX-1 is not immune to physical damage or wounds, immediate violence shouldn't be inflicted on SCP-XXXX-1 unless it refuses to comply. SCP-XXXX-1 may be used for medical testing assuming standard testing procedures are carried out without failure, however, it may not come into contact with other non SCP-XXXX instances. Interaction between instances of SCP-XXXX must be approved by the head researcher before carrying the action out.
