UNIDENTIFIED BODY OF ASTRONAUT
RECOVERED FROM COAST OF PANAMA
Panamanian police officials announced yesterday the finding of an unidentified body of a man caught in a trawling net three miles off the El Porvenir coast. The body was recovered from within a 'space suit' as one investigator on the scene described, and was expected to have drifted inland from the Atlantic on the Yucatan current before being caught by a local fishing trawler. The body was removed from the net by police, and a rushed post-mortem examination was performed on the remains once removed from the suit.
The most conspicuous findings of the autopsy included the massive and widespread fracturing of the entire skeletal structure, the grievous depression of facial orifices, such as the eyes; observed to have been forced over 4 inches into the back of the skull, and the liquefaction of most of the brain, thorax and abdomen. Regardless of cause, the remains appeared to comprise of a crushed body, subject to immense compression forces over a prolonged period of time.
The suit and apparatus in which the body was removed from (with great difficulty, due to the lasting effects of rigor mortis) has been described as a 'space suit', however appears to have been designed for extreme diving purposes. The suit, as it is, holds a one-two pressurised air tank system, for nitrogen and oxygen respectively. Without the application of trimix breathing gas or the replication of nitrogen with helium, it appears that the suit was designed to protect the wearer within a sea-level (14.7 Psi) atmosphere.
Further analysis of the unregistered suit reveals extensive damage. Of concern, a large, 1.2ft perforation through the upper-right shoulder is noticeable on immediate inspection. This matches a similar (yet considerably smaller) perforation through the right shoulder of the corpse. The visor, and material on the left knee also appear damaged, however are not expected to have initially broken the seal. Inspection of printed labels on the back of the suit have identified the remains as "Dr. Chris Miller" (currently unverified) and iterate that the suit is subject to ownership of an "SCP" organisation. It is expected that the body may be that of a jack-up oil platform diver, and the suit may be the result of an attempt to perform undersea diving operations in methods outside of immersion diving or involving a bell. Regardless, no local oil platforms belonging to an organisation matching "SCP" have currently been found, and the mutilated remains serve as a reminder to the horrifying dangers of what is presumed to have been ultra-deep diving.
Further sightings of similar bodies have also been reported by sources in Cuba and the Bermuda islands, however authorities there are unwilling to disclose any information as of this time. The current understanding of events preceding the death of this 'Chris Miller' are vague, but sources are emerging and a full explanation is certainly guaranteed in the coming weeks.

ENTITLED: CLEANUP PROGRESS ON AUTOPSY, RECOVERED FROM RIO SECO.
Cleanup are pissed. They can't get it out of the suit intact, and now another one has washed up, the visor all cracked and what looks like a boiled egg inside.
Pretty sure there are a few more left to reach the coast. Fishermen are fucking around with us - keep saying there are more out there but when we arrive they're gone. It's like someone is stealing the bodies. Still, I know there are more to come. I'm posting more men to keep the full length of Rio Seco closed. Did you hear that? RIO SECO. I don't want you fucking closing the wrong beach again you bastard.
Did I mention cleanup are pissed? Nobody can find these 'SCP' fuckers anywhere. We've phoned-up all the big oil businesses in the area and they all turned blank. Said nobody has died and couldn't comment on the suits.
I'm getting concerned, in like a pissed-off way. The first thing a diving company would do is ask where in this side of hell all their divers went. Since they haven't, we could be talking about a cover-up.
Either way, it's shitty news. The press are onto us and we'll legally have to make a statement within the next 24 hours. Since you're head of public relations, I trust that's your responsibility? Either way, we've got bigger problems on our hands. Anything would be easier to deal with than a cover up, since we wouldn't have to go through with the courts and jurisdictions and fuck all against some invisible company. Still, we're gonna be drowning in paperwork within a week whatever was the cause. (Did you get the pun?)
Oh, yeah, and tell your staff to forward these messages straight to you. Why the fuck do your people keep reading everything I send? What's that about? I swear to god you only seem to hire virgins these days. No need to turn your station into a monastery.
Godspeed.

TSUNAMI WARNING IN CUBA:
TRANS-ATLANTIC HAULER OVERTURNED BY ROGUE WAVE
Several unexplained rogue waves were reported to have caused significant disturbances to shipping routes in the Caribbean Sea last weekend, one overturning the trans-atlantic cargo hauler "St. Melenes" (Panama to Spain) forcing the crew to evacuate unexpectedly. No crew were harmed during the evacuation, however, reports of similar observations have been made by other naval vessels in the region, including the Cuban military destroyer "Final Profundo" within a similar time-space.
The alleged massive increase in this rare phenomenon attracted our interest. Our research concludes that a total of 15 unverified rogue waves have been reported over the weekend, the majority occurring late Friday (23:45) to early Saturday (02:30) [GMT.], six of which have caused notable disturbance. Tsunami warnings have been issued hastily over an area of the Cayman Islands and parts of Panama, Cuba and Mexico.
Experts are still unable to pertain the exact cause of these waves affecting the Caribbean Sea, but have traced the waves to have peaked around 00:05 Saturday [GMT.] and reduced significantly since. The most recent wave to be observed yesterday was followed to have originated from under the surface of the Cayman Trench, an exceptionally deep area of ocean (maximum depth of 7.686km) of mild seismic disturbance. Despite this, the speculation of a "quiet" earthquake emerging from over 2km beneath the surface has been relentlessly disproved, due to the acute nature of the disturbance. While earthquakes at these depths are frequent, at this current time tectonic movement is at an all-time low in the Caribbean, and encountering an earthquake would be extremely rare.
Experts have still not ruled-out any causes as of this time, but we expect further developments in future.

[Foreword]: The following extract took place on the 01/01/1983, between 00.34 - 01.02 (GMT) on the exterior of Site-128 (1200m below sea level), while specialised personnel Dr. Chris Miller, Dr. Henry Harper and Dr. Catherine Reed performed routine exterior-maintenance tasks; including minor repairs to the hull of Site-128. Personnel were suited with Generation-3 DP-Vessels - atmospheric-isolation exoskeletons, fitted with electromagnets on the sole of the foot so that the user may be able to magnetically affix to the hull, and effectively traverse across the roof of Site-128.
Dr. Harper lead the operation. The recording follows Dr. Miller (1st Exterior Engineer), fitted with a fixed-view (non-orbital) head camera.
[Visual Footage]: Camera adjusts focus to reveal the exterior of Site-128, a complex of divided cylindrical walkways spread-out across a 400m stretch. Footage quality is poor. Environment is exceptionally dark at 1200m below sea-level, but rotating flood lights briefly illuminate sections of the complex. Sand and grit appear to be covering almost all objects and noticeably present following a strong deep-ocean current.
Footage angle turns to witness a large object approximately 6 metres away hurl past and out of view. Dr. Miller is audible, breathing heavily.
(00:17:29) Dr. Miller: "Reports of… yeah I can see early debris heading right towards us."
(00:17:34) Site-128 Actual: "Confirmed."
(00:17:37) Dr. Miller: "And, err… more dust clouding… it’s getting harder to see now. We should reach total darkness any second."
(00:17:45) Site-128 Actual: "Forecasts suggest so. It’s the fresh debris, less clumped and compact than before it hit the trench. You’re a minute from the blackout zone."
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller looks up into the darkness. A strong current appears to be dragging substantial quantities of sand, pelagic sediment1 and rogue debris with it. Dr. Miller braces as another wave of current passes over.
(00:18:00) Dr. Miller: "Confirmed. Projections?"
(00:18:04) Site-128 Actual: "Projections and forecasts suggest it's a magnitude 4, with possibility of becoming a magnitude 5. We're still working with data half an hour old. SAT CON hasn't replied. We suspect the storm must be hampering the communications array. It's just passed over the abyss so it may have dumped a lot of the debris it was carrying, but it's likely to pick up more as soon as it hits the bank. Standby for anything."
(00:18:55) Dr. Miller: "What will it be like?"
(00:19:02) Site-128 Actual: “It’ll be like the worst sandstorm in recorded history.”
(00:19:09) Dr. Miller: "Sandstorm?"
[Visual footage]: Camera turns to observe several debris objects tear past the hull fifteen metres away. Dr. Miller, standing on a cylindrical walkway of Site-128, braces as the structure violently shudders.
(00:19:21) Dr. Miller: "Hey, err, Actual, are you hinting that we should come back in now?"
(00:19:28) Site-128 Actual: "That would be wise."
(00:19:31) Dr. Miller: "Alright, we’re finishing up."
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller is seen operating the final stages of a diagnostic check on an exterior-fitted heatsink2. Most of the cabling is still unprotected and contents disassembled. Dr. Miller disconnects the wiring and shifts the covering-panel back over.
(00:19:33) Site-128 Actual: "Err, negative Exterior. I mean now."
(00:19:39) Dr. Miller: "Give me a minute. The covering is still loose. You said we're not long from the blackout zone?"
(00:19:47) Site-128 Actual: "Affirmative Miller. The storm has diverged into multiple stages since it passed over the Romanche-"
(00:19:56) Dr. Miller: "The trench?"
(00:20:02) Site-128 Actual: "Correct. The main debris cloud from the satellite-array has diverted in trajectory. The storm is generating a chain-reaction of debris, centred on your location. We're zeroed. Estimated ETA 2 minutes."
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller clocks the timer around his wrist to 2 minutes. The structure below him continues to shudder. Large quantities of black sand are apparent travelling in the strong current, obscuring most vision.
(00:20:06) Dr. Reed: "It's getting harder to see out here… how long until the blackout zone?"
(00:20:12) Site-128 Actual: Err… how far is your visual stretch?
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller brushes the dust off his visor and pauses to turn towards Dr. Reed.
(00:20:18) Dr. Reed: "I- I can't see through my visor clearly. Not far, maybe three feet?"
(00:20:24) Site-128 Actual: "Get moving fast. Blackout zone should be here in a matter of seconds. 2-3, 2-2, we've got Site-128 in distress. Crush zone ETA 3 minutes-"
(00:20:30) Dr. Miller: "This thing has a crush zone?"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller unclips his tether and is pulled to his feet from behind.
(00:20:34) Dr. Harper: "Miller, forget it! We have to get back inside!"
[Visual footage]: Large objects travelling at extreme velocities are frequent in the background. Part of the communications-array is visible, before shattering and disappearing after being struck repeatedly by rogue debris.
As Harper pulls Miller to his feet, an unseen object collides with the structure below them, and knocks them to the ground. The electromagnets on Dr. Miller's suit appear to be non-functional, and he slides down the cylindrical edge of the structure being pulled by the current, but is caught by Harper just as another wave passes over, dragging torrents of sand with it.
(00:20:41) Site-128 Actual: "Main storm-front is estimated to reach 250 atm in the next 3 minutes-"
(00:20:53) Dr. Harper: "Chris! Get your fucking tether! Move! Move!"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller turns to retrieve his flashlight. A flying object passes within 2 metres ahead of him.
(00:21:05) Dr. Harper: "What the fuck are you doing?!"
(00:21:07) Site-128 Actual: "Debris cloud suspected to be travelling at a movement speed nearing mach 1-"
[Visual footage]: Camera turns to face an entirely-downed communications array from moments earlier. Metallic objects presumed to be hull-covering3 are present in the debris mass.
(00:21:13) Site-128 Actual: "Current speed… unprecedented. Hull integrity dropping rapidly and aborts from 2-2 and 2-3, we've lost 2-4 and LOS with sites 129 and 130-"
(00:21:17) Dr. Miller: "Crush zone? Atm?"
(00:21:20) Site-128 Actual: "300, that's 30.4 million pascals. increasing at an incremental rate of 0.1 atm per second, gives less than 2 minutes until your suits will begin to collapse."
(00:02:25) Dr. Miller: "That's impossible. There's no way this storm could generate that much pressure."
(00:21:27) Dr. Harper: "Confirmed. Yeah, pressure is mounting. Exterior structure seems to be mobile. Chris is untethered. I repeat, we've lost the jackstay line."
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller turns to look below at the jutting structure he is standing on. Repeated hammering sounds can be heard from below as metallic objects continue to strike the hull.
(00:21:31) Site-128 Actual: "Confirm, exterior structures are moving?"
(00:21:33) Dr. Harper: "Confirmed. Parts of the hull are breaking-off in from of me. Chris, stay with me."
(00:21:37) Dr. Miller: "Blackout zone is nearly here. With what seems… yeah, heavy debris, metallic origin; not just rock and seabed… parts of- shit- [breathing] are those… are those parts of the Site-129 hull?"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller stops as Harper attempts to keep him moving towards the main-entrance airlock.
(00:21:42) Site-128 Actual: "Do you have a confirmed visual?"
(00:21:45) Dr. Miller: "Confirmed. I have a visual of rouge and heavy debris objects at 12 o’clock. Whatever happened to Site-129 parts of it are going past me right now. What’s the reading on the storm?"
(00:21:49) Site-128 Actual: "Just what you said. The main cloud should be arriving… ETA 2 minutes. Screw the blackout zone. You hit that crush zone, you'll become part of the debris cloud going past you right now. A Fourier analysis is reading large seismic activity, can't be sure of cause, we're still detecting heavy Rayleigh waves travelling along the surface of the seabed that are hampering the struts of the site. Still, no identified cause, but it's feeling like an earthquake. All exterior personnel, beware, rouge and heavy debris is converging on your location from the South-East."
(00:21:55) Dr. Harper: "Confirmed."
(00:21:56) Dr. Reed: "Actual- [breathing] I'm here. Unseal the outer-lock. I'm prepping the electromagnetics on the inner-airlock."
[Visual footage]: Flood lights indicating the airlock opening sequence cut-out simultaneously. Dr. Miller and Dr. Harper hold their flashlights in front of them.
(00:22:07) Site-128 Actual: "That just killed the main power."
(00:22:010) Dr. Reed: "Airlock unsealed- the magnetics are offline. Seems like something's triggered [REDACTED] electromagnetic shock over the whole place. I… [pause] …the electromagnets on my suit are dead as well. I think my flashlight is still working fine."
(00:22:18) Site-128 Actual: Confirmed. You must be near the blackout zone, very near. In a few seconds everything may turn from bare visibility to total darkness. Beware large debris objects from your 12 o'clock."
(00:22:25) Dr. Harper: "Hey, it’s not like we can see it or anything!"
(00:22:27) Site-128 Actual: "Early telemetry forecasts from 90 minutes past suggest medium to large debris is travelling at averaged speed of 322 m/s. I'm certified to say that your suits will not survive a direct impact of any kind. I repeat, do not exposure yourself to the debris stream."
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller and Dr. Harper traverse towards the main entrance airlock. Dr. Reed is struggling to operate the manual airlock, with automatic functions lost due to the downed electricity.
(00:22:36) Site-128 Actual: "I'm out on almost all channels. LOS with surface, LOS with control, LOS with Site-129 and- there's too much dust everywhere- it's blocking-out radar- [pause] I'm- I'm getting a rogue source of ionised radiation [REDACTED]. Telemetry is just gone, I've lost tracking on the storm-"
(00:22:51) Dr. Harper: "Shit. My oxygen tanks are over-releasing. I'm still clear on nitrogen; this shouldn't be happening. Actual, is this a remote alteration on my suit?"
(00:22:23) Site-128 Actual: "Negative, Harper. We're not adjusting your suit. It must be compromised. You need to evacuate. All of you. What's the hold up? Get back inside ASAP."
(00:22:30) Dr. Reed: "The outside airlock gate is jammed."
(00:22:33) Dr. Harper: "For fuck's sake."
(00:22:35) Dr. Miller: "How?"
(00:22:38) Dr. Reed: There's too much sand everywhere. The gate can open outwards fine up to 600 atmospheres, but the sand is slowing the mechanism."
(00:22:43) Dr. Harper: "Can you prise it open?"
(00:22:46) Dr. Reed: "It weighs more than a house."
(00:22:48) Site-128 Actual: "Stay calm exterior. We’ve lost contact with all other sites. A communications blackout has occurred. Expect a blackout on this channel any second."
(00:22:55) Dr. Harper: "Actual- [breathing] I swear my operator device is fucked. It's over-releasing oxygen at 25%."
(00:23:00) Site-128 Actual: "It isn't a remote alteration Henry- who the fuck-"
(00:23:02) Dr. Harper: "Actual?"
(00:23:10) Site-128 Actual: "Henry- there's a blast fire going down in here- ignited the oxygen [incoherent] avoid the East Entrance. Local telemetry is about to drop."
(00:23:15) Dr. Harper: "Confirm? The East Entrance is on fire?"
(00:23:19) Site-128 Actual: "Confirmed. Avoid it. Beware, local telemetry is about to drop."
(00:23:19) Dr. Miller: "Should we be going back in there?"
(00:23:25) Dr. Harper: "We've got no choice, Chris. We've got a minute until this place gets blitzed."
(00:23:31) Dr. Reed: "Chris- [breathing] you're still out there?! Where are you?! I've widened the gap in the gate large enough to fit through but the airlock is filling with sand- [breathing]- you need to get here fast!"
(00:23:42) Site-128 Actual: "A communication blackout has occurred. Expect a blackout on this channel any second."
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller waves repeatedly at Dr. Reed standing near the entrance airlock, although it appears she is unable to see his attempts to indicate his position through the torrential flow of sand and dust.
(00:23:49) Dr. Miller: "I'm with Henry! We're coming across the roof of the facility now!"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Harper begins to falter and slow.
(00:23:53) Dr. Harper: "Chris, [breathing] shit, [breathing] shit, I- [incoherent] I'm serious, I'm breathing 52%- I'm going fucking blind-"
[Visual footage:] Dr. Miller pulls Dr. Harper to his feet. Dr. Harper's visor is steamed and appears cloudy.
(00:23:57) Dr. Miller: "Your visor is just steamed. Keep-"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller grabs Dr. Harper as a large satellite antenna passes in front of them. Dr. Harper appears unable to stand and holds Dr. Miller tentatively.
(00:23:38) Dr. Miller: "Henry, you're going to fall over man, are you ok?"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Harper looks briefly towards Dr. Miller.
(00:23:42) Dr. Miller: "Why aren't you moving?"
(00:23:47) Dr. Harper: "Chris- my suit is- [transmission break]"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller looks at Dr. Harper but is unable to see through the dark-tinted visor surfaced with condensation.
(00:23:50) Dr. Miller: "Henry?"
[radio silence]
(00:23:57) Dr. Miller: "For fuck's sake Cath, I've lost telemetry on Henry's suit."
(00:24:01) Dr. Reed: "Is he with you?"
(00:24:08) Dr. Miller: "Yeah, but he's not moving- he said his suit was over-releasing. He might be intoxicated- [pause] -looks like he's got twitching convulsions or some shit-"
(00:24:48) Dr. Reed: "Sounds like his suit is fucked. You said he can't move?"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller glances at Dr. Harper behind him. Dr. Harper appears to be shaking slightly and is visibly becoming disorientated and losing balance. His legs are unable to move.
(00:24:53) Dr. Miller: "Yeah- exoskeleton seems locked."
(00:24:57) Dr. Reed: "For Christ's sake, for Christ's fucking sake. Can you pick him up?"
(00:25:00) Dr. Miller: "I don't know. I'm going to try and drag him over-"
[Visual footage]: Camera pans around, but Dr. Harper cannot be seen.
(00:25:20) Dr. Miller: "Shit- [incoherent] shit! Henry!"
[Visual footage]: Camera turns, pointing aimlessly into the darkness.
(00:25:22) Dr. Miller: "Henry! [Breathing] Henry! Henry! [Breathing] Henry!"
(00:25:23) Dr. Reed: "Chris? Chris? Chris what's happening?"
[Visual footage]: Camera angle continues to search frantically.
(NOTE: It is presumed that Dr. Harper was killed by rouge debris. The source does not explicitly state this, but it is the most common conclusion. Due to the lack of surviving witnesses, Dr. Harper is issued as dead, not missing, due to the almost certain conclusions drawn from this video material evidence.)
(00:25:25) Dr. Miller: "Henry-"
(00:25:28) Dr. Reed: "Chris- what-"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller turns to face the airlock, although Dr. Reed is not visible to the camera due to the low light.
(00:25:33) Dr. Miller: "Henry's gone! Oh god, shit- [breathing] he's gone- oh god, shit! Shit!"
(00:25:37) Dr. Reed: "Actual- the crush zone?! When is it?!"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller falters as a metallic object hurtles over his left shoulder.
(00:25:40) Dr. Reed: "Actual!"
(00:25:42) Dr. Miller: "The channel has blacked-out, Cath! He warned us."
(00:25:48) Dr. Reed: "I've still got some telemetry… locator says he's 600m downstream of us- approaching out of range. I'm still getting a heartbeat on his suit?"
(00:25:55) Dr. Miller: "I've- I've lost all telemetry with him. Heartbeat is bullshit. That's just the water."
(00:26:00) Dr. Reed: "What- what do you mean? The water?"
(00:26:05) Dr. Miller: "The water- the- the fucking water. It can trip the sensors… gives the illusion of a heartbeat if it's moving… I didn't see- I didn't see it when it happened… I think he got wiped off the fucking structure- he's gone… oh god- he's-"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller attempts to turn upright and re-connect with the hull of Site-128 using partially-functional electromagnets. His dropped flashlight rolls off the side of the structure.
(00:26:19) Dr. Reed: "Chris! Crush zone! ASAP! The airlock is automatically closing- [breathing] some emergency protocol or something! Get here now!"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller looks behind him before he turns and begins to stumble towards the light of the airlock. Ahead, debris scatters in and out of view, tearing and scratching at the hull directly ahead.
A large section of covering rips-off in front of him, driven by the current. The faint figure of Dr. Reed is visible straining to hold the airlock hatch from automated emergency closure.
(00:26:40) Dr. Miller: "Wait- [breathing] hold it-"
(00:26:46) Dr. Reed: "I can't- I can't hold it-"
(00:26:48) Dr. Miller: "Just- [breathing] just wait one moment-"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller stumbles uncontrollably as the current drags him to the sides of the structure.
(00:26:52) Dr. Reed: "Chris, Chris, Chris- [incoherent]! We're mounting pressure- the door won't be able to close if you leave it any longer-"
[Visual footage]: The dragging force of the current suddenly heightens dramatically. Dr. Miller is thrown off-balance. A small unidentifiable debris object appears momentarily and strikes him across his visor. Dr. Miller collapses onto the ground.
(00:26:58) Dr. Miller: "[Incoherent] shit- my visor- [breathing] there are cracks on my visor!"
(00:27:05) Dr. Reed: "We're about to hit the crush zone! Move!"
[Visual footage]: //Dr. Miller lands sprawling as the weight of his suit pulls him back down.
(00:27:08) Dr. Miller: "Shit- [breathing] shit shit shit- [incoherent] my leg! I can't- [breathing] Shit! I can't fucking move! Something- [breathing] Something hit me! My fucking leg!"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller clutches in agony at his fractured leg which seems to have contorted with the impossible angle of the suit, before stumbling disorderly to his feet. More objects shatter the walkway ahead of him. Dr. Miller falls again, before regaining footing, with the torrents of sediment slowly dragging him off the structure into the darkness.
(00:27:13) Dr. Miller: "I can't see anything- something's messing with my suit- [breathing] the exoskeleton is twisting my arm- Catherine- [breathing] my visor- it's going to split-"
(00:27:19) Dr. Reed: "Where are you?! The door is stuck! It won't even close! There's too much fucking sand!"
[Visual footage]: Dr. Miller stumbles towards the airlock, and appears unable to control his movement. Dr. Reed is struggling to resist the automated emergency closure of the airlock.
(00:27:24) Dr. Miller: "Catherine- [breathing] get inside! Close the hatch! Close the hatch, you hear me?!
(00:27:27) Dr. Reed: "I can't- Chris- [incoherent] it won't close, it won't close over- "
(00:27:32) Dr. Miller: "Catherine, [breathing] listen to me! You- you have to close the hatch! Close the fucking-
