Description: SCP-XXXX is a compilation album pre-recorded on a type 2 (CrO2/Chromium Dioxide) compact cassette tape made sometime between the years of 1987 or 1988. The appearance and material of SCP-XXXX and its case are unremarkable in nature of the common pre-recorded cassette tape of the era, except for the j card in the case. The j card displays what seems to be some kind of ritual with text above it saying, “To You, Dear Listener”, inside the card are the artists and songs recorded onto the cassette (read Addendum.1.XXXX: for all the artist and song names, and for the only sample from the song recorded to digital). But when trying to find the artists and songs they don’t seem to exist. When attempting to record from the tape to a digital source it will always just come out as static, except for a small part when playing the song “Fingers Are Cut” by The Red Drops (the first song from side A), but it ended before the lead singer can start to sing. When played though is when its anomalous properties are activated, when playing SCP-XXXX in any compact cassette player (with or without any power) it will start to create a portal approximately 0.3 meters away from the cassette.
