SCP-5253 before being placed in containment

Item #: SCP-5253

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
Subject must be kept in a standard issue lock-box, with the combination to unlock the box being █████. Any unauthorized contact with SCP-5253 will result in the employee being reprimanded and possible demotion depending on the severity of contact.

Description: SCP-5253 is a brown leather billfold that has no distinguishing marks. It is completely empty until activation. When the holder of SCP-5253 requests any amount of money, the exact amount requested will appear in the main pocket of the wallet. The type of currency is USD, and the money will be given in cash.

SCP-5253 was first discovered in ███████, TX after local police discovered a string of murders within a family. All murder victims died of natural causes, but the remains were aged to be much older than the known ages of said victims. The only surviving member of the family was in possession of a sum of money upward to four million dollars. When the survivor was taken into questioning by local law enforcement, undercover Foundation agents confiscated all items on his person and brought them to Site-██ to test for any anomalous properties, leading to the discovery of SCP-5253.

Based on tests of SCP-5253, it has been concluded that while the money given by SCP-5253 is not (to the Foundation’s knowledge) stolen from other sources, every dollar taken from SCP-5253 results in the subject instantaneously aging by one (1) hour. This change is irreversible, and money taken from SCP-5253 cannot be returned to reverse the aging process. The maximum amount of money that can be taken from SCP-5253 is dependent on what age the subject would have died under normal conditions. Because of this caveat, SCP-5253 should only be used by D-class personnel.

The following test logs show the extent as to how SCP-5253 handles various transaction requests.
