Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX's cell is a standard humanoid cell modified with a surrounding Faraday cage. No electronics relying on batteries may come within 12 meters of XXXX's cell. If staff members require these devices, they must move to the safe distance marked in the corridor outside SCP-XXXX's cell to use them.
If SCP-XXXX is outside of its cell for any reason, SCP-XXXX must wear a Faraday suit for its duration outside of containment. SCP-XXXX is to be assigned a psychological evaluation on a bi-weekly basis. If SCP-XXXX is behaving well then it is allowed access to its approved list of amenities, chosen at the discretion of the head researcher.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a human male of 1.75 meters high with a weight of 84kg. It is bald with no facial hair and on the back of its head is a tattoo of a battery cell, similar to the battery icon on a mobile phone or laptop.
SCP-XXXX generates an anomalous electrical field which can affect battery-powered devices in its radius (4-meter radius). It is able to produce 230
If SCP-XXXX overextends its energy, SCP-XXXX will experience pain in using its ability, and the electrical discharge it is offloading will electrocute others in its range. While SCP-XXXX can sense the charge level of nearby batteries, it cannot suppress its ability, leading to the possibility of batteries overloading and exploding.
Addendum XXXX-01: SCP-XXXX was discovered in a makeshift Faraday cage in the middle of a field in ██████████, Washington in 19██. SCP-XXXX was first discovered by MTF Kappa-9 ("Wolf Pack") while they were on a classified mission in the area. SCP-XXXX was found in a prone position with second-degree burns across 60% of its body. Surrounding SCP-XXXX were several cell phones which have been destroyed by explosive means.
SCP-XXXX's ability activated when MTF Kappa-9 entered its cage and electrocuted two members of Kappa-9. Kappa-9 then fell back and secured the area while Containment Team Delta-4 ("Watchmen") moved into secure SCP-XXXX. Containment Team Delta-4 provided SCP-XXXX its Faraday suit and was placed inside an Interviewing Room for interview. See Addendum XXXX-02 for Interrogation Log.
Addendum XXXX-2: The following is the interrogation log when SCP-XXXX entered Site-20's interrogation room.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Dr. Rick Jones
Foreword: Due to SCP-XXXX's faraday suit, some words may be muffled or hard to hear.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Rick Jones: Hello SCP-XXXX. My name is Dr. Jones, and I'll be handling you while you're with us. Do you understand me?
SCP-XXXX: (Silence)
Dr. Jones: What can I do to help you get adapted here?
SCP-XXXX: (SCP-XXXX appears to speak but the words are muffled.)
Dr. Jones: Could you please say that again for the record?
SCP-XXXX: I said, don't use that sort of language near me. A… Adaptors and what not.
Dr. Jones: Ah, then I do apologise for my words. I didn't realise that such words could set something off for you, SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX: C… Can you call me by my stage name?
Dr. Jones: (Goes through his folder, pulls out a piece of paper and closes the folder.) Sure thing, "Bad Battery". What else could I try to do for you?
SCP-XXXX: Um… Will I be safe? From Fuller, I mean?
Dr. Jones: I promise you that The Circus will not come after you. Is that -
SCP-XXXX suddenly slammed its fists against the table. Dr. Jones held his hand up to the camera to keep security from entering the room.
SCP-XXXX: Not the Circus! Not Manny or Icky or anyone else! Just Fuller. I don't want Fuller anywhere near me.
Sounds of crying can be heard from within SCP-XXXX's suit. Dr. Jones wrote on his clipboard before speaking up.
Dr. Jones: I'm gonna be assigning you some help for you to take, Bad Battery. Is that understood? I'm gonna end the interview here and the agents outside this door will take you to your new cell.
<End Log>Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX's psychiatric treatment has been voted unanimously by the Ethics Committee to be allowed as well as a list of items recommended by Containment Specialists for use as a reward for good behaviour.
