Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a standard containment locker, and is not to be handled directly by anyone with autism, a diagnosed mental illness, or other noticeable mental health conditions. Testing with SCP-XXXX is only to be started once all the involved personnel have undertaken a rigorous mental examination. During testing, the subject must at all times have intravenous sedatives, and clear communication to command via a drone/handheld transceiver.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a standard US penny, minted in 1934. It shows signs of gradual weathering and chipping, but is mostly intact. The penny was discovered in a raid on a known anomalous item dealer, but they were killed in the raid and unable to be questioned. There was a small 4 panel comic advertisement flyer found with SCP-XXXX, featuring 2 men holding a penny, the third swallowing it, then all of them smiling in a dream-like dimension. The flyer is titled: "Psychonautic Penny! Only 50¢ a coin!".
Swallowing the coin teleports the person, and everyone who touched it directly in the last 5 seconds into a pocket dimension, presumed to be in the mind of the person who consumed the penny. This dimension possesses a very low Hume value, and is mostly comprised of scenery recently seen or remembered by the person who swallowed the penny, as well as large patches of void further away from the owner of the dimension.
Item #: SCP-5XXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: A 5 metre radius spherical concrete wall with a thickness of 1 metre, with plant cover on the extradimensional side, has been built around the portal opening. The entrance is not to be disturbed or obstructed under normal circumstances, as to not risk unintended side effects of damaging the portal. The wall is to be inspected at least every month, or when an abnormality is detected. The inspection is to be carried out by at least 2 armed guards, and to check for any differences, cracks, or if the atmospheric monitor, or Hume tracker has been tripped. Audiovisual input from cameras located near the portal, forest, and SCP - 5XXX - B is to be observed by an artificial intelligence, which will scan for any sustained changes from the norm. If severe abnormalities are detected, cameras will be kept under manual observation, and footage from the moment of change is to be reviewed by personnel offsite to locate the reason for variation from the baseline normal.
Description: 5XXX is a parallel dimension, with explored land and atmosphere matching rural countryside in West Europe. The day night cycle is approximately 2█ hours as noted by subsequent MTF exploration, and flora in woodland regions are closely related to plants and fungi found in ecosystems near undistrubed Green Belt zones in Germany and France. No animal life genetically similar to organisms in this dimension have been found yet, however creatures resembling fireflies have been reported seen at night by SCP - 507, although not observed by exploratory MTF teams or stationed security cameras.
The entrance to the dimension is located in a opening in the ground in a woodland area in ██████, designated SCP - XXXX - A, in Southern Germany, █ kilometres from the ruins of a village which was destroyed by a fire in 18██. The opening resembles a small cave, with a gentle wind originally blowing out. This is hypothesized to be the reason for similar flora near the portal. The entryway is roughly ██ cm in height ██ cm in width, but varies by around █ centimetres as per the leaf and plant cover of the season. Any variation under █ centimetres is not to be reported as unnatural by itself.
Inside the dimension, the woodland area appears to be the same to the base side, however vegetation is significantly healthier and more brightly coloured, and reported to make personnel feel relaxed and less tense about the locality in general. This is unknown whether to be a memetic effect, or just to be a non-anomalous consequence of plant life. The flora and fauna1 is genetically very similar, if not the same as herbage on the other side2, however genic differences accumulate as the distance from the portal increases. Crude replicas of the SCP Foundation insignia have occasionally been carved in and painted with strong white dye onto trees, as well as SCP Field Codes denoting a safe place to rest. It is also noted that Scranton Reality Anchors do not work in the dimension, because of as of yet unknown causes, and the average Hume level is measured at around ██ baseline normal.
The woodland area abruptly ends about a ██ to ███ metre perimeter from a village, housing at least ██ observed entities taking permanent residence within the █ km2 domain. This village is hereby designated SCP - 5XXX - B. The habitations are presumably constructed by its residents, and are traditional rural dwellings, with all of them apart from what appears to be a town hall being only one storey high. Basic SCP field codes also have been seen marked with charcoal onto otherwise blank wall outside walls of most dwellings, indicating that the entities are not human, are not to be touched, and to not fall asleep there. Text has also been written on building walls, relating to and cursing anomalous GOIs such as the Chaos Insurgency, and the Global Occult Organisation. Field codes are often overused in areas of interest. These codes and text have signs of natural decay, as well as efforts to remove them, but are still comprehensible to Mobile Task Force personnel. The dwellings have basic amenities, such as refined cloth beds and polished wooden furniture.
A crude structure has been built in the woodland area around ███ metres from the border of the woodland territory and SCP - 5XXX - B, comprised of wooden logs, large stones removed from buildings in the village, and foliage from nearby trees. This is hereby designated SCP - 5XXX - C. The front of the structure is painted with the SCP logo, and has a label of "Site ███"3. Its contents include various furnishings including 2 chairs, a table, and a bed4 There is also a book and a set of clay tablets on a table, arranged in a line, as well as a note, addressed to Foundation operatives that find the structure. The books comprise of a journal, originally an SCP Agent's logbook, from Site ███, with the front cover label crossed out and replaced with “Dixon Graives' Journal”, and after normal SCP Agent log information, contains a record of the time spent in SCP - XXXX by Agent Dixon Graives from Site ███. The tablets are arranged in piles, with titles "SCP - XXXX Dossier", "SCP - XXXX - 1 Observation Log"5, "SCP - XXXX - 1 Test Log"6 On the floor is a cage made of primitive rope and sticks, containing the remains of a feral cottontail rabbit referenced in the journal.
Incident XXXX - 00: A guard who happened to be touching SCP - 507 at the time was teleported inside SCP - XXXX, and remained there until an interaction with an instance of SCP - XXXX - 1
The village contains multiple sentient humanoid entities, with anomalous properties including rapidly decreasing the Hume levels of any animal from this dimension when biological matter is touched, eventually resulting in total Hume field disintegration within 10 seconds. Information from locational trackers have not transmitted any evidence of reformation in another dimension or location. Removal of the point of contact will result in the subject's Hume levels quickly returning, but after roughly 6 seconds of contact, human cognitive functions will be sufficiently diminished as to impair thinking so the subject will usually be unable to let go of the entity in time to stop total disassociation form reality. There are no currently known permanent effects of this. Residents of the village will ignore humans and other animals, from them, and will physically avoid any non-native entities. It is not currently known whether this is a voluntary effort by the entities or not. When touched, instances will look at the subject and attempt to keep contact with them until they cease existence or break contact. This is easy to do, and just moving away is enough. If contact is broken, the entity will ignore the subject until a further physical connection is made. Entities do not attempt to make physical contact themselves, and will make slight effort to avoid it. Instances are usually brightly coloured, and sometimes wear basic clothing, and have human facial features like eyes, ears, and a mouth, but no nose. They have a build and height similar to an average human, and have no musculoskeletal system inside them. They communicate with other instances by vocalisations, however analysis by linguists have yielded no results.
Instances of SCP - 5XXX - A - 1 have a hide with texture similar to human skin, and rupturing of this covering leads to immediate [DATA EXPUNGED], rapidly expelling [REDACTED] over a █ metre radius in under █ seconds. After this occurs, instances within the area will [DATA EXPUNGED] until the vicinity is clear, and are not to be directly visually observed while doing so. Any personnel that do are to be designated E Class. [REDACTED] touching animals causes them to exhibit extremely hazardous reality bending anomalous effects including [DATA EXPUNGED]. Personnel suspected to have been in contact with [REDACTED] are to be considered dead, however personnel seen again after contamination are to be not to be interacted with or looked at, and the vicinity is to be evacuated of any animal life within █ metres. [REDACTED] left on inanimate objects remains inactive for approximately ██ - ██ hours, until it crystallised
This causes the Hume fields of living animals touching it to rapidly fluctuate over dangerous ranges, generating multiple temporal and physical anomalous effects, including [DATA EXPUNGED]. All personnel suspected to have been in contact with [REDACTED] are to be considered dead, and are not to be interacted with again. [REDACTED] touching inanimate objects and plants has no effect for around ██ - ██ hours, however once crystallised, manifests many extremely hazardous abilities, and is to be avoided at any costs. Any contaminated or presumed to be contaminated objects are to be contained hermetically sealed lockers within the range of at least three Scranton Reality Anchors.

My name is Dixon Graives, I am an agent at Site ███ and I have been teleported to another dimension with SCP - 507. I lost contact with 507 shortly afterwards, as we fell down other sides of a hill, and when I went around I couldn’t find him again. I am recording my experiences until I am rescued. in this log book for future use by the Foundation. I am inside a woodland habitat and am making a temporary shelter out of small logs, and searching for a food and water source. I only have my basic clothing and Project 90 Submachine gun. The surrounding area looks like a normal wood, with no anomalous properties noted so far. I'll try to keep the entries short for now, but I think I might have to write more as time goes on to stay sane.

SCP - 507 probably teleported away by now. I have found a spring nearby that provides fresh water, and I have shot and cooked rabbits over a fire for food. The animals seem to be non-anomalous and safe to eat, and I will start to explore the surrounding area as well as look for a way out. I can't find any evidence of sapient life in the woods so far, which is likely a good thing. I've been looking at the woods for a while now, and it kind of looks like one of those woods you think of when you read a fairy tale, with those red mushroom things and fireflies at night. I was tempted to touch or capture one, but I reminded myself where I was. I think I'm getting used to this place, and I'm pretty sure that's a bad thing. At least I’m safe for the time being. I wonder if I’ve just been teleported somewhere else on Earth instead, but I don’t know if there would be any difference if I was. I’m sure the Foundation are sending a search party right now.

I was hunting for small animals, when I saw a village in a clearing around 500 metres away from my shelter. There was no way I would risk anything seeing my, so I used my P90 scope to try and take a closer look. I saw blue creatures entering and moving around the houses. I think they stay inside the residences at night, and leave during the day, to talk to the others and work on what looks like a farm? I am going to mark the trees far away from the village with SCP field codes that say personnel have been here. I don't know if I still remember them correctly from basic training, but I'll try. I might as well do what I can for future personnel coming in here

I have tried to observe the entities in the village closer, but a deer running into me and knocking me into plain view of the creatures forced me to run away. It seems like they didn't notice me though even though I shouted. Maybe they just didn't care? I think it would be safe to start saving up food, as some days I can't find any rabbits or deer. I'm trying to smoke and dry some rabbit meat for later, and make a bowl out of a stone to hold water. Even though it looks safe for now, there's no way to know what could happen at any moment. That was too close when I got hit by that deer though, I need to make sure I never let my guard down until I'm out.

I don't even want to write anything anymore. I haven't had any food in days. There's no fish in the stream, and I haven't seen any living animals in too long. I don't know which plants are edible, and which aren't. If I wasn't scared of what it could do to me, I would've eaten grass. This is still an anomaly, and I think I read that you could live 2 months before starving to death. It doesn't feel like it though. I just hope I can find something quick, I'm getting desperate.

I've given up. I was so hungry
