Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX is to kept in archival storage at Site 11. Within archival storage, SCP-XXXX should be stored separately from all other archival media, as to avoid anyone accidentally taking it from the archives. The drawer that SCP-XXXX is contained in should have a bio authentication lock affixed to ensure only researchers assigned to the object may access it.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a cassette tape from 197█ recorded by Henry [REDACTED]. The tape's content is unknown, as any person who hears the tape undergoes complete mental breakdown within 10-30 seconds of the tape stopping, leading to either suicide or complete organ failure due to internal Hemorrhaging within the next 2 minutes.
Digital Recording is also ineffective as a means to analysis the tape, as the files immediately and irreversibly corrupt the hard drive they are stored on. Out of 10 attempts to record the audio for analysis, 9 of them have resulted in complete hard drive failures, and 1 has resulted in a complete system failure.
SCP-XXXX Test 1
Subject: D15686, Male, 35
Test: Effects of Exposure to the A side of SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D15686 was exposed to SCP-XXXX for 1 minute of the A side of the tape.
Results: 10 seconds after SCP-XXXX stopped playing, D15686 collapsed on the floor of the containment room, clutching at his head. Medical staff entered the room to try and sedate and subdue D15686, but were quickly over powered. D15686 then used the needle of tranquilizer to commit suicide by injecting it directly into his heart
SCP-XXXX Test 2
Subject: D65895, Female, 26
Test: Effects of Prolonged Exposure to SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D65895 was exposed to SCP-XXXX for the full 23 Minutes of the A side of the tape.
Results: 24 seconds after SCP-XXXX stopped playing, D65895 began to scream and claw and her face. Medical personnel were able to subdue D65895, but not before her internal organs began to shut down from internal brain hemorrhaging. Due to D65895 not having any prior medical conditions, it is believed this organ failure and hemorrhaging was caused by exposure to SCP-XXXX
SCP-XXXX Test 3
Subject: D63549, Male, 18
Test: Effects of Exposure to the B Side of SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D63549 was placed in a room and exposed to 1 minute of the B Side of SCP-XXXX
Results: 13 seconds after the tape stopped, D63549 began to scream and claw at the door. Medical Staff entered the room and were over powered. D63549 began to run down the halls of Site 11, making it approximately 13 Meters before the internal Hemorrhaging caused his brain to cease functioning.
