Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3471 is to be kept in a 9” x 14” x 22” containment box located on site 342. Personal with level 1 clearance and above are allowed to access it’s containment chamber. Personal with level 3 clearance and above are allowed to pick up SCP-3471 in it’s container for relocation or testing purposes.
If required, in the event of any personal picking up SCP-3471 without it’s container are required to be accompanied by another personal with correct clearance. SCP-3471 is not to be dropped or damaged in anyway as the risk of possible destruction of SCP-3471 are prominent.

Description: SCP-3471 is a 1930’s Shure Brothers 701D Microphone. It is undetermined the exact date in which it was produced. There have been no examinations of the interior of SCP-3471 due to the possibility of destroying it and has since been in containment since it’s capture by foundation personal. It’s exterior is constructed the same as a factory produced microphone within the time period.
When SCP-3471 is spoken to by any human being they begin feeling a plethora of emotions which include the need to shout, sing, or cry. Recent testings with SCP-3471 proved the most prominent emotion was anger always followed by shouting and cursing. Emotions linked to SCP-3471 have been examined in D-Class operatives to continue further beyond the test, such examinations have proved that those who began crying from the effects of SCP-3471 were observed to contract depression and began isolating themselves from the rest of the foundation. Those impacted with anger feelings from SCP-3471 were observed to be more rebellious and resilient to foundation personal. D-8453 was terminated after multiple attempts of physical altercations with Foundation staff after affected. Those who began singing into SCP-3471 we’re linked to being more sociable and progressively happier with the people and environment around them. Testing with SCP-3471 have since been halted since the termination of D-8453 and the lack of necessity to do so.12
