Special Containment Procedures
SCP-XXXX must be contained underwater no deeper than 80KM below sea level, in a steel cage 50m2 x 50m2 x 50mx, bars of which no thinner than 8.2m2. SCP-XXXX must be chained to the centre of this cage to prevent it breaching containment. In case of Containment Breach all personal must relocate containment to site of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX must not be touched by personal without permission from 3/4 of a vote from the rest of the faculty. If after a containment breach SCP-XXXX ends up 250 meters or less from site 010, Class D Personal may be sent to retrieve it.

Description
SCP-XXXX is a birch wood music box 5cm x 5cm x 5cm large. On the bottom of SPC-XXXX a warranty sticker shows SCP-XXXX was made by the company S██████ ██ ████ ██y. Request for permission to search factory 0██ of S██████ ██ ████ ██y. Awaiting permission. On one side of SCP-XXXX the word “sleep” is written in an unknown substance. The other side reads “easy” in red ink, specifically from a 2mm iodine pen only sold in █████ █████████ (closed since 196█¹

When SCP-XXXX is in contact with human flesh, one of the 2 sides of SCP-XXXX will modify. These modifications change depending on the flesh, and one of two modifications will happen. One of these modifications include the side that says sleep will heat up intensely. This side of SCP-XXXX will have the behaviours of bronze in this state, resulting in the side becoming white in colour with heat, and the word “sleep” is impossible to detect during this process by any machines or human senses. When the “sleep” side cools down, the word has changed to “sleeping”. The other side of SCP-XXXX will also modify, heating up very similarly the side that says sleep. However, this time it behaves like silver, and by the time it cools down, the word “easy” is also made of the unknown matter the word “sleep” is made of. The other modification is similar, except the side that says “easy” has steel like behaviours, the side that says “sleep” has iron like behaviours, the word “sleep” is made from the exact same ink the word “easy” is, the word “sleep” doesn’t change and the word “easy” does, changing to the word “uneasy”.

These modifications do not change until SCP-XXXX is played. (The subject who played it is known as SCP-XXXX-1). SCP-XXXX-1 will fall asleep within 5 minutes of the tune² being played. If SCP-XXXX is not played within 5 minutes of contact, the person who played it (here after known as SCP-XXXX-2) will [DATA EXPUNGED].

After SCP-XXXX-1 wakes up, SCP-XXXX-1 will be blessed with good fortune for however long they slept if SCP-XXXX’s sides read “Sleeping Easy”. On the contrary, SCP-XXXX will be cursed for however long they slept³ if SCP-XXXX’s sides read “Sleep Uneasy”
