SCP 4632 being viewed from the ground.

Item#:SCP 4632

Object class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Because SCP 4632 only appears near Howland Island, it is effectively self-contained around 200 miles around the island and is, seemingly, unable to go further. Therefore, no containment procedures are necessary. However, no none-commercial planes are allowed near the area, as their chances of crashing are greatly increased, due to environmental hazards becoming increasingly dangerous. For this reason, no commercial planes’s flight path is allowed to cross the area of Howland Island.

Description: The plane appears to be a Bleriot XI with an orange colour to the wings and maroon being the colour for the body of the plane. The plane seems to be in great condition and flies at 185mph at most. The plane dates back to 1902, but the creator for this particular model is unknown. The pilot currently occupying the plane has been described to be wearing post World War pilot uniform.

SCP 4632 only appears once a none-commercial airplane enters its airspace. The pilot, now referred to SCP 4632-B, will be overcome by the urge to follow SCP 4632 wherever it goes until the eventual death of SCP-4632-B through fatigue. After the the plane inevitably crashes, the remains erode at an incredibly fast rate, leaving nothing of the plane left. The crash site, however, remains where the plane’s remains originally was. The selection of none-commercial planes as SCP 4632’s preferred targets are currently unknown. Recently, Outpost-⬛️⬛️ has been set up on the east of Howland Island to keep close track on the appearances and behaviour SCP 4632. Level 3 researcher Dr. ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️ has been assigned to oversee and monitor all work done by Outpost-⬛️⬛️.

The motives for SCP-4632 are currently unknown. Any attempts at termination have been unsuccessful, due to SCP-4632’s lack of lasting presence. Any damage done does not hinder its ability to fly and will disappear before any critical damage is done. It will later reappear when a new SCP 4632-B enters its airspace, completely repaired. How SCP-4632 repairs itself and how the pilot remains unharmed is currently unknown.

Discovery: SCP 4632 was initially discovered in 19⬛️⬛️, after being sighted multiple times by pilots of the US military. They did not recognise its pilot, nor the frequency it was on and reported it to their officers. Shortly after this, The Foundation took responsibility for the continued containment of SCP 4632.
