Item #: SCP-4153
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4153 should be contained in a 5 by 10 inch metal soundproof case and kept in storage area 14 on Site-77. Turning on SCP-4153 is prohibited except for research. All future experiments have been discontinued by order of Site-Director ███████ .
Description: SCP-4153 is a vintage Seth Thomas Metronome designed to provide from 40 to 208 beats per minute. Subjects are able to activate a beat of choice from the metronome. After it is activated, the subject's entire bodily functions, such as heart rate and muscle movements, start to involuntarily imitate the beat until SCP-4153 is turned off. These body imitations can happen through only seeing the pendulum or hearing the ticking and testing has shown that subjects are unable to resist imitating this movement.
