Special Containment Procedures: Any instances of SCP-XXXX must be provided to D-Class personnel as soon as they are located. These personnel must be kept within their cells at all times and may not be used for other testing. Upon full decalcification of the bones of the subject, the subject must be disposed of and replaced. Subjects must undergo routine medical testing to monitor their condition.
Description: Instances of SCP-XXXX are pieces of cardstock with crude handwriting stating “AT-HOME BONE MASSAGE, PLEASE TURN OVER.” On the reverse side of the cardstock, it states, “YOUR R NOW CLIENT, PAYMENT ONLY IN REMEMBER. THANK FOR BUSINESS.”
There appears to be a finite number of these cards active at a given moment, although it is not known the precise number of active instances of SCP-XXXX at any given time. Each instance of SCP-XXXX appears to be created uniquely, as if made by hand with minor variations and differences between each observed instance - including but not limited to line quality, colour of text and occasionally spelling. The handwriting of each instance appears to originate with an identical source, following analysis by expert Foundation graphologists.
The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX are activated upon an instance being picked up by a subject. This begins the second phase.
Scans of an instance of SCP-XXXX provided by Dr. ███████.
Another entity, designated SCP-XXXX-A, will visit the subject during their sleep. In this time, the subject will experience decalcification of their bones beginning at a very minor level. Upon this occurring, the subject will no longer be able to recall a memory they deemed to be significant.
SCP-XXXX-A is a humanoid creature, although with skin that appears to change colour between each subject and uncharacteristically long hands. More detail on its appearance is unavailable as subjects deem its appearance to be significant and these memories are subsequently taken in later visits.
Following the first visit of the subject by SCP-XXXX-A, the subject has calcium levels in their bones consistent with an average person two years younger than them.
In the weeks following the initial visit by SCP-XXXX-A, subjects will describe it differently than the first description given. Variations include colour of skin, number of limbs and whether or not its face has features.
Subjects often report feeling actively younger and the calcium in their bones, according to testing by Foundation scientists, is replaced with an anomalous substance designated Compound ███. This substance softens the bones of the subject each time it is administered.
While this effect does seem to have physical implications over time, subjects report no ill effects. This places Compound ███ in the category of a cognitohazard.
Subjects, following enough subsequent visits by SCP-XXXX-A, will have had their bones decalcified to a significant enough level that their bones are similar to that of a baby. Blunt force trauma to the bones of the subject result in a greenstick fracture due to the higher flexibility and softness within them.
Medical staff have reported significant brain damage to subjects and death by starvation following decalcification of teeth and skulls. Subjects also report severe amnesia in the later stages of decalcification, occasionally resulting in complete loss of subject personality. Subjects are known to not remember their family following weeks of testing with the effects of SCP-XXXX-A.
Blood tests indicate that the number of lymphocytes within circulation in the subject are increased after each test with SCP-XXXX-A.
If an instance of SCP-XXXX remains unused for a long period of time, SCP-XXXX-A materialises in its vicinity in order to collect it.
SCP-XXXX-A, if a physical containment attempt is made, appears to be able to adjust its corporeality. Foundation field agents attempted to capture an instance of SCP-XXXX-A, yet were unable to make physical contact, allowing the instance evade Foundation custody.
Addendum 5062.4: Dr. █████████'s interview with D-7628 on 26/██/20██.
Interviewed: D-7628
Interviewer: Dr. █████████
Foreword: Dr. █████████ interviewed D-7628 following initial testing with SCP-XXXX-A
<Begin Log, 15:28>
Dr. █████████: So, tell me about the most important things that have happened to you.
D-7628: Well, I got my driver's license at 18, I remember my first night drinking with my dad, I remember meeting my girlfriend…
Dr. █████████: Girlfriend?
D-7628: Yeah, my girlfriend.
Dr. █████████: You're married.
D-7628: [silence]
<End Log, 15:29>
Closing Statement: Following the interview, subject D-7628 showed signs of panic and Dr. █████████ administered sedatives and amnestics. D-7628 continued testing.
Addendum 3079.2: Medical log of D-7628, three weeks after Dr. █████████'s initial interview.
<Begin Log>
The subject, following mass decalcification of bones, appears to remember very little about who he is. Upon being asked his name, he was incapable of stating anything but his D-Class designation.
Most memories he forms, he deems to be significant and he forms immediate emotional attachment to any memory he forms or person he meets.
He cannot state his age, but consistently repeats that he feels younger and healthier than ever despite the fact that he is severely malnourished and incapable of walking without support.
His bones have formed greenstick fractures in numerous places. The subject does not seem to acknowledge the pain associated with these injuries, simply repeating once more that he feels healthier than ever.
The subject's lymphocyte count has increased significantly. This could be attributed to the effects of Compound ███.
Upon being asked, the subject stated that his most fond memory was the oatmeal he had been fed for breakfast that morning.
I will continue to monitor the subject's status, although I doubt it will be long before his death.
<End Log>
Addendum 5781.9: Incident report of an encounter between SCP-XXXX-A and MTF personnel.
Incident Report 27/██/20██
MTF personnel encountered SCP-XXXX-A in Anaheim, California. They attempted containment of SCP-XXXX-A, using both capture methods and attempts at neutralisation.
Neither of these methods proved effective, with the subject evading capture. Armaments seemed to simply pass through the subject without any damage being caused.
MTF personnel will review tactics and consort with researchers to attempt to come up with an effective method to capture and contain the subject.
