Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4797 is to be remained enclosed in a 3 m x 3 m x 3 m air tight chamber with minimal sunlight and water. No personnel are allowed enter the chamber and interact with SCP-4797 incase of another breach. Any changes in the behavior of SCP-4797 is to be reported immediately. 04 Clearance or higher is needed to conduct tests or speak with SCP-4797. Personnel working on site must wash their clothing before leaving to prevent another breach.
Description: SCP-4797 is a spherical glowing creature made of unordinary plants. It is around
1/3 of a meter in diameter, and has very long tentacle like roots. Although origin is yet to be determined its plants are very similar to that of western vegetation. It requires minimal resources to stay healthy and the entity has a manipulative gas. The entity seems to be very regenerative but weak when low on energy. It moves by using its roots to roll itself but it can also launch its self away at quick speeds using its roots as a coil. It is mostly shy although it usually attacks with strangulation when it feels threatened, but in rare cases it has used its roots to stab people.
It was discovered by tourist camping when they noticed how quickly a small forest was growing. The forest looked mostly normal but according to [REDACTED] estimated that it was just an acre large a few weeks ago. The Foundation decided to monitor and study the forest until hostile creatures emerged. The origin of the hostile creatures are unknown yet they vary in size and they have a close similarity to SCP-4797. They take the shape of random shapes and creatures. A group of MTF exploring had found people hanging from trees they stated that it seemed like they were being used as a source of energy. Some spotted plants moving and picking up bodies to use for themselves. A scientist (With Protective Clothing) researching the forest had found SCP-4797 nurturing the forest and had quickly detained it. The foundation let off the growth of the forest as fertilizer run off.
SCP-4797 was relocated to a new site where it breached containment with small spores that stuck to personnel clothing. A infant like clone was made, but it was terminated although the foundation is unsure if there are more SCP-4797 clones. SCP-4797 is capable of sounds and speech although it refuses to talk. Humming and singing can be heard when it is left alone.
