Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Any locker designated with a number divisible by three is to be checked on the first day of each new school year for SCP-XXXX-1. The locker check will be done early in the morning to ensure that no staff are present. Lockers will be checked through the use of a handheld mirror of any size digital camera (See Test 07). Personnel searching for SCP-XXXX-1 will avoid looking at it in its entirety with the naked eye to avoid its effects. Once a locker containing SCP-XXXX-1 has been found, the locker will be assigned a false student name and combination to ensure that no one looks inside.

The closest nearby security camera will be pointed in the direction of the locker to check for anyone trying to open it. If a person is found trying to get into the locker, a MTF posing as school resource officers will take the person into custody and administer a Class-A amnestic. In the case of student or staff questioning, the MTF will claim that the person was suspected of possessing drugs.

These procedures will be upheld until 12:00 PM on the last day of school, after which SCP-XXXX-1 will leave the school until the next school year.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are to be held in Site-██ after seeing SCP-XXXX-1. After undergoing Procedure-P-AV (See Test 06), instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will be kept in cells 5 x 5 x 5 meters made of concrete with no windows. Instances are to be given 3 meals each day.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is an anomalous 12 x 12 centimeter photograph of a killer centipede, with the caption "I've got it from here." The effects of SCP-XXXX-1 are activated when a person views the photograph in its entirety. 12 hours after viewing the photograph, the victim (designated as SCP-XXXX-2) will lose all control of their actions. SCP-XXXX-1 appears on the first day of school each year in Mountain Trail High School in Montana, and disappears on the last day of school each year. SCP-XXXX-1 only appears inside of lockers designated with numbers divisible by 3.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are inclined to ruin the victim's life in any way possible. SCP-XXXX-2 will begin with minor incidents (insults, annoying others, infractions of minor rules, etc.) for the first two months after viewing SCP-XXXX-1 (Note: There has been one instance of battery immediately viewing SCP-XXXX-1 - See Addendum-1). After 2 months have passed, instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will begin to commit negative actions increasingly more damaging to the victim's life than the previous. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are willing to commit any crime other than murder (See Addendum-1).

Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 appear to be calm and content as they perform negative actions. However, brain activity has shown constant and extreme distress and panic after the effects of SCP-XXXX-1 have been activated. This has lead researchers to theorize that those affected by SCP-XXXX-1 are still conscious after turning into SCP-XXXX-2. Brain activity does not cease when the body falls asleep.

SCP-XXXX-1 was discovered during an investigation of a student (SCP-XXXX-2-A) who had been suspected of possessing methamphetamine. After opening the student's locker, only SCP-XXXX-1 was discovered. After two school resource officers and the school's principal (SCP-XXXX-2-B through SCP-XXXX-2-D) attempted a bank robbery, a MTF began investigating. After discovering SCP-XXXX-1, Test 01 and 02 were conducted. The discovery of SCP-XXXX-1 led to the creation of three more instances of SCP-XXXX-2 (E through G).
