Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Thaumiel

ENIAC

SCP-XXXX at Site-XXXX as Foundation technicians examine SCP-XXXX-1(SCP-XXXX-2 offscreen).

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX will remain at its original site at Area-06(referred to as Site-XXXX) and must not be used until the ability to either relocate or reconstruct SCP-XXXX has been achieved. Guards must be posted outside of the containment room of SCP-XXXX, on the floors directly above and below SCP-XXXX, and along the edges of Site-XXXX to prevent all exterior breaches of previous test subjects from Area-06(previous test subjects should be terminated on sight). The interior should also be closely monitored and personnel are prohibited from disconnecting or removing SCP-XXXX circuitry without prior approval from the O5 Council. Additional personnel should also keep watch over the freighter SS Edlingham due to its collision with the southeast section of Site-XXXX.

Knowledge of Area-06 should be strictly limited to those assigned to SCP-XXXX or on the perimeter of Area-06 on a need-to-know basis based on position. Any civilian or non-foundation entities entering Area-06 should be swiftly redirected and(only if absolutely necessary) amnesticized as soon as possible. All personnel are forbidden to enter within 30m of the SS Edlingham along with any shipping container it possesses. All trespassers onto the SS-Edlingham will be treated as an XK-Class hazard and will be terminated immediately.

Description: SCP-XXXX is composed of two entities known as SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-1 is an unknown model 1940s era supercomputer replicated for the sole purpose of harnessing the anomalous abilities of SCP-XXXX-2, an electroconvulsive therapy(ECT) machine similar to a Siemens Konvulsator III model.
The anomalous abilities of SCP-XXXX-2 have proved to affect the brain in such a way that the synapses, hippocampus, and the majority of the frontal lobe are “re-wired” after previous usage on a subject; depending on the prior and present subjects the thought processes, personalities, intelligence quotients, skillsets, and multiple other traits are significantly modified. However, presumably due to the volatility of SCP-XXXX-2, SCP-XXXX-1 was created.

SCP-XXXX-1 appears to convert the neural activity SCP-XXXX-2 records to lines of code1 that(with proper knowledge of said code) can be used to directly manipulate the output of SCP-XXXX-2, allowing manual control of most neural functions in subjects. The code SCP-XXXX-1 uses is all stored inside the supercomputer taking up ██m2 of space inside of Site-XXXX(70% of room [REDACTED]-B, where it is contained). Attempts to download or copy the code to different computers have not been successful, nor have any attempts to manually replicate the code onto Foundation-owned computers.

Area-06 is an archipelago located southeast of ██████, French Polynesia. The exact measurement is unknown, but the number of perimeter security posts estimate Area-06 to be around approximately 2,500,000 km2. The amount of islands within the archipelago is still unknown but they all appear to have been inhabited at one point: Every island has at least one rudimentary structure resembling either a homestead or outpost, on average █kg of garbage and other waste-like substances, and the appearance of a hasty exit, the majority of the islands show signs of being abandoned for months. However, certain islands are still inhabited.

Certain inhabitants of the islands are theorized to be either the previous subjects of early SCP-XXXX testing and usage or subjects used as guards to protect Site-XXXX(henceforth referred to as A06-1. A06-1 Inhabitants are extremely territorial and hostile to all humans within visual proximity(including each other). Given SCP-XXXX's abilities to alter forms of neural activity as strong as the Intelligence Quotient and combat skill of subjects, the island inhabitants' threat level ranges from almost neanderthalic combat to highly skilled guerrilla warfare. A06-1 inhabitants seem to have lost the ability to communicate, and will confront Foundation staff or A06-2 inhabitants with extreme force.

The majority of the inhabitants appear to be former D-Class personnel from Site-XXXX(Referred to as A06-2). The more recent test subjects from the A06-2 group have proved to be more diverse than the A06-1 group, preferring collaboration with other A06-2 personnel and the (seemingly recent) common goal of escaping Area-06. Files found on Site-XXXX indicate A06-2 personnel to range from criminals with various psychopathic tendencies to personnel drafted in through usage of Protocol 12.

However, given the current state of Site-XXXX A06-2 personnel have fled Site-XXXX and appear to have had resided all over Area-06 at one point. However, since Foundation acquisition of Area-06 the objective of most A06-2 personnel has been to escape Area-06.2

Inhabitants will use anything and everything available on their island to make weaponry, tools, homesteads, fortifications, and transport. Both groups have proved to be both frighteningly resourceful and persistent to obtain materials.3 A06-2 inhabitants don't possess the same knowledge as A06-1 inhabitants, but will tend to have strength in numbers over A06-1.
