Item #: SCP-9630

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Scp-9630 is allowed to wander around the site because even though they are a species not one being they stick together. They are also allowed to wander around the site because any who hear their song become immediately happier. Any who attempt to separate or harm scp-9630 will have caused scp-9630 to become extremely aggressive and try to kill all who come near. They will also start screeching which causes depression in all who hear it. When this happens they are just moved, through the capture of 1 of scp-9630, into a standard sound proof room until they stop.

Description: Scp-9630 is a species of small, white swallow like birds with a head that closely resembles a robin. They have large almost mammalian eyes. The tips of their wings are jet black. During a period of aggression they turn full black and the tips of their wings turn a dark purple.

Addendum: Scp-9630 was first found in the Kongo jungle when one was separated and they killed 20 people in the jungle. After the 18th person was killed foundation staff consisting of five armed capture teams. in the capture of scp-9630 two more people(foundation personal) died. In the beginning their was ten but after an incident with an instance of scp-7936-A one of them died. The rest of the birds turned full purple and obtained red eyes. during this 100 people died and an extra 50 were injured beyond repair. If scp-9630 is particularly angry, because 1 of them has been badly injured, then scp-999 calms them down immediately.

Scp-9630 would seem to have no will to reproduce. Personnel have debated whether to destroy scp-9630 or not. the decision was that scp-9630 would be allowed to survive so long as it is kept under control.
