Test: 001
Object: Video camera set on continuous recording mode
Direction: Decrease
Result: The recovered camera recording showed the camera entering plane, then the camera reemerging from SCP-XXXX. During the time the camera remained in the 2D plane no footage was recorded. Furthermore, the camera’s clock was set back 27 seconds—the exact amount of time spent in 2D.
Notes: Camera equipment does not function in lower dimensions, as expected.
Test: 002
Object: Lit oil lamp
Direction: Decrease
Result: The oil lamp was converted to 2D and left to sit for 5 minutes. No fire was visible in the 2D plane; however the amount oil present continued to decrease. After the lamp was converted back to 3D, it remained lit, with an amount of oil missing corresponding to roughly 5 minutes of burn time.
Test: 003
Object: Autonomous rover programmed to drive backwards through SCP-XXXX after an allotted period of time. Equipped with (1) arm mounted panoramic camera, (2) microphones, (2) radio receivers/transmitters, and (1) GPS receiver.
Direction: Increase
Result: Camera footage initially revealed no difference in surroundings when crossing through SCP-XXXX. Outside observers were unable to observe any effects of SCP-XXXX at this time. The arm mounted camera was moved, and despite the arm controls only allowing 3 axes of rotation, the camera apparently rotated in the 4th dimension.
Surrounding objects in the footage at this point were “sliced” by an invisible plane, allowing the camera to observe the otherwise obstructed interiors of objects. The camera rotates further, revealing the insides of the researchers, various hallways, and [REDACTED], even through the walls of the containment chamber. To an outside observer, the camera appeared to disappear into nothing roughly halfway up the attached arm. Radio and GPS receivers transmitted normally. Microphones did not detect anything of interest. Ten minutes later the probe reversed through SCP-XXXX intact.
Notes: This experiment shows that 3D matter does not unfold into 4D matter. Rather, SCP-XXXX merely grants 3D matter free movement along a new dimension.
Test: 004
Object: Lab rat
Direction: Decrease
Result: Lab rat converted into 2D matter appearing as predominately white and red concentric rings. The rat was re-dimensionalized intact; however no brain activity was detected despite having no detectable injury or damage.
Test: 005
Object: Lab rat strapped to an autonomous cart programmed to return through SCP-XXXX after a designated amount of time.
Direction: Increase
Result: Lab rat returned intact. No difference noted from its condition prior to dimensionalization.
Test: 006
Object: Subject D-8064, strapped with an explosive collar. The collar is set to explode after a designated amount of time or if D-8064 strays further than 5 meters from a GPS-receiver near SCP-XXXX. Staff were vacated from the room with the exception of a sole researcher who knows the code to disarm the collar. These procedures were designed to prevent D-8064 from attempting escape via a higher dimension. Furthermore, D-8064 is equipped with a video camera.

D-8064 crossed into the 4th dimension and returned intact. Below is a transcript of the experiment.
D-8064: So do I just step through this frame?
Dr. ██: Yes.
D-8064: This is stupid. Look.D-8064 steps through SCP-XXXX
D-8064: See? Nothing changed.
Dr. ██: Try moving around.D-8064 walks around the containment chamber. Camera footage reveals half of his left arm and leg entering 4D space.
D-8064: Seriously. What is this stupid test?
Dr. ██: Try rotating your head.
D-8064: Woah… what the fuck?!
Dr. ██: What do you see?
D-8064: It’s you… I can see your heart! It’s still beating! How is this possible?…
Dr. ██: Please refrain from touching. You’ll want me alive to disarm your collar.
D-8064: Right. This is so trippy… I can see through the walls. What is that thing over there, it looks like a [REDACTED]. Lemme go look.
Dr. ██: Remember, if you stray more than 5 meters from SCP-XXXX your collar will explode!
D-8064: Right… right… hey is it just me or does the frame thingy look different.
Dr. ██: Elaborate.
D-8064: No matter which way I look at it, it looks like there’s more inside, like those russian dolls. That’s what it looks like, a bunch of those frames inside each other, but they’re all the same size. If that makes sense.
Dr. ██: Interesting.At this point, a timer rings
Dr. ██: Return through SCP-XXXX at this point.
D-8064: You sure I can’t stay here longer? It’s really cool
Dr. ██: If you cooperate, you may be selected for future testing with SCP-XXXX. However, I can’t guarantee anything.
D-8064: That’s fair.
D-8064 was administered amnesiacs following test 006.
Test: 007
Object: Subject D-8064, with the same parameters as in test 006.
Direction: Increase 2x (5D)
Result: D-8064 disintegrated as he crossed through SCP-XXXX the second time. An moderate burst of electromagnetic radiation measured on all frequencies was detected across the site, likely originating from 4D space. The explosive force of disintegration knocked the remainder of D-8064’s body backwards; as a result, little of his body was actually disintegrated.
For some reason, crossing into 5D causes immediate disintegration of matter. The predominant theory is that 5D space has incompatible laws of physics, however we cannot rule out an effect of SCP-XXXX or possibly even an external hyperdimensional entity.
Test: 008
Object: 3x3x3 cm solid steel cube
Direction: Decrease
Result: The resulting plane was able to withstand a force of over 1,000,000 kPa. Higher pressures cannot be tested yet due to limitations with with current technology. Re-dimensionalizing the steel showed no deformities.
Test: 009
Object: Cube composed of 5 layers of differing color. The cube will enter SCP-XXXX diagonally instead of head on.
Direction: Decrease
Result: After the cube was re-dimensionalized, it retained its original shape and orientation. This suggests that the 2D matter somehow “remembers” how the matter was originally oriented in 3D.
Test: 010
Object: 3x3 cm 2D steel plane and 3x3x3 cm 3D steel cube
Direction: Decrease
Result: Both 1D and 2D matter were ejected from SCP-XXXX simultaneously, suggesting that it applies the dimensionalization separately to objects of different dimensionalities.

Object: 3x3x3 cm 4D steel cube and 3x3x3 cm 3D steel cube
Direction: Decrease
Result: Both 2D and 3D matter were ejected from SCP-XXXX simultaneously, suggesting that it applies the dimensionalization separately to objects of different dimensionalities.
Note: The 4D cube’s dimensions were represented as 3x3x3 cm because it was not truly 4D matter; rather it was 3D matter in 4D space.

Object: Quantumly entangled silicon chip

Result: Upon entering a lower dimension, the entanglement was broken with the corresponding chip in 3D. Entanglement was not re-established upon re-dimensionalization.
