TheGreatNinjaMan-BoxOFun

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedure: instances of SCP-4XXX are to be stored in a 27.9 cm by 27.9 cm by 27.9 cm Steel storage box of at least 3 cm thick and lined with 2 cm lead on the outside and 1 cm teflon on the inside. The steel storage boxes containing instances of SCP-4XXX are to then be placed in a secure storage cell at site ██.Instances of SCP-4XXX are not to be removed without the written approval of Site ██’s director.

A 2 cm thick steel button-lock is to be placed on SCP-4XXX to prevent any accidental depression during transport and storage. The 3 dials are also to be locked individually with 2 cm dial-locks. All three dials are to be turned to 0 when in storage.

The locks are only to be removed in tests. Dials that are not used in testing must be kept locked. Any tests must be done with the oversight of site ██'s director.

The cardboard box that the first instance of SCP-4XXX was found in has been deemed non-anomalous, however, it should be stored in a nearby storage room.

Addendum 1: After tests 4XXX-1540 though 4XXX-1544, only D-Class personnel are authorized to press the button. None D-Class personnel are not permitted to be in the same room as SCP-4XXX during testing.

Addendum 2: After test 4XXX-█████, under no circumstances should all three dials be turned more than 50% at the same time.

Description: SCP-4XXX is a children's toy approximately 25.4 cm by 25.4 cm by 25.4 cm. made of an unknown material that resembles Tin, however is much more durable and contains no rust despite its estimated age of somewhere between 40 to 50 years old. The toy itself is black with a silver bottom. it has a large red button that reads "Press Me" in English on the top side. The front has 3 dials each labeled from left to right; "Power", "Volume", and "Fun". The backside opens during specific manifestations after the red button is pressed. the Left and Right sides however are black and have no features.

Addendum 3: Two instances of SCP-4XXX are currently at Site ██. SCP-4XXX-1 is considered for all intents and purposes the original. The Second instance, known from here on as SCP-4XXX-2 was created during a test SCP-4XXX-1 when it manifested a near identical, but newer copy of itself. SCP-4XXX-2 did not however come with a box.

The original box we assume that SCP-4XXX-1 was sold in, contains no anomalous properties as far as research has revealed. However, for informative purposes it has been sampled, photographed, and stored in a nearby storage cell at site ██. The box itself matches the style and properties of toy packaging from the 1960’s. The art on the box depicts a boy of 8 to 10 years old pressing the big red button on top. The sides contain a long list of features that the toy is supposably has ranging from blowing bubbles to [REDACTED]. These features are approximately 80% accurate to testing. It should be noted that due to the sheer number of possible combinations and the randomness of SCP-4XXX, it is still possible that the listed features are 100% accurate. The backside has no remarkable features.

SCP-4XXX-1 was found in 19██ in a small-town toy store of ██████, Utah after a small explosion killed several people. Amnesiacs were given to witnesses, a cover story was broadcast on the local news, and SCP-4XXX-1 was relocated to Site ██.

When SCP-4XXX's red button is pressed, a somewhat random manifestation occurs within ██m of SCP-4XXX. These manifestations range from harmless to potentially world ending scenarios.
The 3 Dials on the front of SCP-4XXX seem to somewhat correlate with the manifestations. See Test Results for examples.

SCP-4XXX’s seems to be completely immune to their own effects and is incredibly resilient to damage, however not completely invulnerable. The back plate that opens during some manifestations is not able to be forced open by other means. Multiple external tests have been performed on instances of SCP-4XXX to reveal their inner workings, however almost all of them have came up with inconclusive results. this includes X-Ray, Sonar-imagery, Thermal-imagery, [REDACTED], and Electro-magnetic scanning.

Addendum 4: Due to test 4XXX-█████, nearly 95% of test logs have been destroyed by accident and SCP-4XXX. The surviving Logs have been re-organized and any further tests must be done with the oversight of Site ██'s Director, but are heavily discouraged.

Test Logs Each test was performed in groups of five. A Researcher would turn the dials accordingly and press the button. The results were documented.
