Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in it’s safe, a 1m x 1m x 1m, in a room, a 5m x 5m x 5m, several floors down from all exits, a new combination code for it’s lock should be made monthly. A security camera is to be monitoring it’s safe 24/7 and metal detectors placed at entrance.
Absolutely no electrical devices are to be in SCP-XXXX’s containment unless given permission by Dr. ██████.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a black oculus brand virtual reality headset measuring 50mm tall and 142mm wide without wires and connections to devices, it has slight damage but otherwise in perfect condition.
When SCP-XXXX is worn, it will begin playing a video of hypnotic and brainwashing voices and visuals which begin agitating the wearer, making them act strangely and feel things that aren’t there, examples of the entity’s s effects include: mindlessly screaming, scratching themselves violently drawing blood, Wincing teeth until they crack and bleeding from the gums, shaking and twitching, biting nails, [DATA REDACTED], patting themselves all over as if on fire, puking vomit and blood, crying, and acts of violence towards all personnel nearby, all studies have shown that a combination of these always happen.
After 2-5 minutes of SCP-XXXX’s effects, the wearer will start severely shaking and twitching before collapsing to either stroke, seizure, heart attack or cardiac arrest. The wearer will temporarily die after this for another 2-5 minutes before shaking again and rising, the reanimated corpse is now referred to SCP-XXXX-2. it starts releasing cubic shapes and pixels from it, disappearing after 2 seconds on creation, and starts making noises which have been proven to be a combination of static, cries for help, screaming, laughter, crying and continuous beeping all merged, overlapping and cut short at random lengths. SCP-XXXX-2 is extremely hostile to all personnel around it, as soon as SCP-XXXX-2 is created, it must be terminated.
SCP-XXXX has also been able to play this video on any phones or computers nearby, and caused the ban on devices in its containment after phone holder turned into an instance of SCP-XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX-2 can phase through any solid surface at will, and any attempt to harm it with bullets, sharp or blunt weapons and explosives have proven ineffective in terminating the entity, this is due to it quickly phasing away or through the weapon and projectiles targeted at it, personnel even tried removing the headset from it, but still it is ineffective at stopping it. If it terminates any personnel, they begin violently shaking and eventually becoming an additional SCP-XXXX-2 in a rate of ████ seconds.
The only way SCP-XXXX-2 can be terminated is to quickly electrocute it with 785V, when this happens, it dissolves into a pile of pixels, which disappear after 2 seconds, and leave behind any clothes or objects they had on them, including SCP-XXXX, if it wasn’t taken off already.
Addendum: It is unknown how SCP-XXXX is able to brainwash its victims and several attempts to look into it’s coding have been unsuccessful, however, the only information we managed to get on it was [DATA EXPUNGED]
