Item #: SCP-(here on out replaced with Virgil)

Object Class: Euclid Neutralized Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: All structures in a 45-km radius around SCP-Virgil have been seized to covertly assemble Site-142. All D-class required for tests are to be delivered from another site, and must not be kept in Site-142. During a SCP-Virgil-MAS event, all instances of SCP-Virgil-2 are to be collected if any manifest. MTF Epsilon-14 ("Malebranch") are stationed at Site-142. If any personnel see instances of SCP-Virgil-1 outside of SCP-Virgil, they are to alert MTF Epsilon-14, who are to track the instance to make sure that it is not witnessed by the local population.

Description: SCP-Virgil is an abandoned office building in █████████████, Florence, Italy. The exterior of SCP-Virgil shows no sign of wear, and if any object symbolic to the Christian or Catholic religion, such objects will disintegrate. Inside is 26 instances of SCP-Virgil-1, a doorway leading into SCP-Virgil-3, several sets of office desks, and several pieces of furniture carbon-dated to the 14th century.

SCP-Virgil-1 are humanoid entities, with an estimated height of 2.1m, a deep red skin coloration, and all wear black and dark red suits1. SCP-Virgil-1 instances all consider SCP-Virgil to be their workplace, interacting with each other inside it. Conversation between instances usually consists of talk about "clients", events that occurred during the 14th century, and [REDACTED]. All SCP-Virgil-1 instances identify SCP-Virgil as "Morning-star Clinic, 5th circle". SCP-Virgil-1's anomalous properties manifest during a SCP-Virgil-MIS event.

During a SCP-Virgil-MAS event, all structures within a 45 km radius of SCP-Virgil that have an established system that regularly place the inhabitant in contact with another sentient human being that does not live in the structure2 and house a person fitting SCP-Virgil-A's properties will recieve SCP-Virgil-2 on the 1st Sunday of each month.

SCP-Virgil-2 is an 8.8cm by 5cm business card, describing SCP-Virgil as a professional anger management clinic located at █████████████ in Florence, Italy. SCP-Virgil-2 has an optic memetic effect where, in place of where SCP-Virgil-2 has a space for a phone number to contact SCP-Virgil, SCP-Virgil-A subjects see an 10-digit sequence.

SCP-Virgil-A is a human being that fits certain traits, and will see SCP-Virgil-2's phone number as a random phone number. To be classified as a SCP-Virgil-A instance, the subject must:

  • have a history of violence
  • Religiously identify as Christian or Catholic

when SCP-Virgil-A (henceforth referred to as subject) uses a functional device3 to contact SCP-Virgil-2's phone number, the subject will hear an instance of SCP-Virgil-1 speaking to them, and will ask for their name and history of violence. If the subject answers these questions, they will initiate an SCP-Virgil-MIS event. If a human being that does not fit the SCP-Virgil-A profile attempts to call the number that SCP-Virgil-A perceives, the SCP-Virgil-1 instance will inform them that "unfortunately, you are not considered a worthy client", and that 'the appropriate circle and/or Deities have been notified.". See Incident-Virgil-1. if the subject either expires from non-anomalous causes or is taken during a SCP-Virgil-MIS event, the number perceived on the SCP-Virgil-2 instance that the subject used will be unusable.

When a SCP-Virgil-MIS event is initiated, the SCP-Virgil-1 instance on the other side of the phone will inform them that their services will be there soon, and hang up. 5-10 seconds following such, the SCP-Virgil-1 instance that was speaking to the subject will manifest in front of subject, place both of their hands on the subject's shoulders, and promptly de-manifest. following the SCP-Virgil-MIS event, the subject will appear in SCP-Virgil-3.

SCP-Virgil-3 is an extra-dimensional space accessible from a doorway in SCP-Virgil filled with water. Inside of SCP-Virgil-4 is ███ individuals, ██ of which have been identified as SCP-Virgil-A instances used in testing (here on out, SCP-Virgil-A instances that have manifested in SCP-Virgil-4 are classified as SCP-Virgil-B). Inside of SCP-Virgil-4, SCP-Virgil-A instances fight each other indefinitely, sustaining injuries from other instances, and are capable of expiring of such wounds4. Once all SCP-Virgil-B instances have expired, there is only one instance left, or there is 2 or more instances that have refused to kill each other for more than 40 seconds, SCP-Virgil-4 'resets' chronologically. all SCP-Virgil-B instances revert to their undamaged states, and appear to retain their memories, at which point most instances begin to fight each other again. SCP-Virgil-B instances retain their sentience and personality5, as well as the ability to speak.

Aquisition: The Foundation was alerted to SCP-Virgil's presence after reports of "Demons working for a clinic" in Florence, Italy. Believed to be an instance of SCP-3665-1, MTF Delta-5 and MTF Epsilon 3 were dispatched to locate the person who had used SCP-3665. On finding the origin of the SCP-Virgil-1 instance (and by extension SCP-Virgil) Foundation was alerted and more investigation revealed the anomalous properties and the SCP-Virgil-MAS and -MIS events.

Incident-Virgil-1: On ██/██/03, all instances of SCP-Virgil-2 delivered disintegrated, before being replaced by a card with identical text 10 seconds after, but with a message attached to one side notifying readers that "Due to an increasing amount of callers raising concerns about our practices, if you do not fit our requirements when you call us, Dave6 will answer any questions you might have. Thank you for using our services.". From then, any non-SCP-Virgil-A individuals calling the number identified on SCP-Virgil-2 would be answered with a greeting by SCP-Virgil-1-03.

SCP-Virgil-1-03 has been extremely cooperative with Foundation researchers, answering questions to a significant depth. a full list of information obtained from SCP-Virgil-1-03 can be viewed in Document Virgil-A.

Interview Log Virgil-1-03-1
Forward: Following Incident-Virgil-1, Senior Researcher Stewart used a SCP-Virgil-2 number to test the validity of the received message.
Dr. H: Hello?
1-03: Good afternoon Doc! At least, i assume you're one if you're one of the founder people.
1-03: Sorry, i meant foundation.
Dr. H: Can you tell us about the purpose of SCP-Virgil?
1-03: You mean 5th Branch? It's simple really; we help people come to terms with their anger, to help them deal with it themselves in an environment with like-minded individuals.
Dr. H: [short pause] alright. How exactly did SCP-Virgil originate?
1-03: Morning-Star began like how most companies did. There was a need, and we filled it. Granted, we had a bit of trouble- after all, we had shoes to fill on a biblical scale- but we managed to get all of the branches running7.
Dr. H: What can you tell me about the SCP-Virgil-B instances?
1-03: Our clients? Doctor, i understand that our methods seem a bit strange to you, but we at least respect Doctor-client confidentiality. I mean, i don't ask you about the incident with Agent █████ and ████.
Dr. H: [long pause] Okay. Thank you for your assistance.
Dr. H: What is it?
1-03: "Can you stop sending more clients? We appreciate the business, but we might have to expand the chill zone if you keep going at this rate."

Incident-Virgil-2: On ██/██/05, All SCP-Virgil-1 instances de-manifested, and SCP-Virgil-3 closed. A piece of paper was pinned to the door of SCP-Virgil, detailing that "Due to the lack of room for new clients, Morning-Star Clinic 5th Branch is temporarily closing their doors to renovate the chill-room. We apologize for the inconvenience. -Tom (Or SCP-Virgil-1-03 to the Foundation)

Incident-Virgil-3: On ██/██/12, all SCP-Virgil-1 instances manifested, SCP-Virgil-3 reopened, and SCP-Virgil initiated ███ SCP-Virgil-MIS events, causing ██ foundation personnel deaths, most of which were D-class Personnel. The piece of paper on the door of SCP-Virgil was replaced with a sign. written on it was the short message, "We're Back!". Information collected from SCP-Virgil-A indicates that between ██/██/05 and ██/██/12, SCP-Virgil-3 was enlarged via anomalous means.
