Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5736, is to be kept, in a 5 x 5 x 10, Class-12 Alpha, Maximum Security cell, constructed of solid Quartz. Two armed guards, must be stationed, and guarding SCP-5736, at all times, with an additional two guards, swapping in, and out on a continuous basis, with every swap taking place every two weeks.
Description:
SCP-5736, is a gelatinous, 3 metre tall, blob comprised of a think, green mucus, that makes up the SCPs ‘body’. The mucus, now dubbed SCP-5736-A, shares the same consistency as honey, with a smell resembling rotten eggs, or a deceased individual, in advanced stages of decay. SCP-5736-A, is very acidic and corrosive, any subject to make contact with SCP-5736-A, is burned alive, beginning with the body part that made contact with the gel. Death typically occurs 3-5 hours after the initial contact, if the subject was lucky. SCP-5736-A, is translucent, making SCP-5736 partly see-through. However, looking into SCP-5736’s ‘abdomen’ reveals that no bodily tissues, or bone structure of any kind, are present inside the SCP, no brain, or spinal cord has ever been documented, leading to the SCP being declared, non-sentient.
Multiple tests where run on SCP-5736-A, to see what the gel, is able to corrode. The gel, could easily corrode house hold items, and materials, such as plastics, ceramics, glass, and hardwood with little to no trouble. Another test, shown that SCP-5736-A, was able to corrode, and rust metals, to the point where their integrity, was so weak, that they could be cut, with a standard issue kitchen steak knife. The same test also proved that whatever the gel dissolved, the gel would then take on the weight of whatever it previous corroded. Meaning if SCP-5736-A, corroded a 5 pound log, of maple lumber, the gel would then weigh 5 pounds, the mass of the gel was unaffected. The third and final test run on this SCP, was the most eventful discovery wise. Samples of SCP-5736-A, where presented with elements, from the Periodic Table, to see if they would corrode. Many elements did, including Lithium, Yttrium, Thorium, and Uranium 235. The only indissoluble element, SCP-5736-A, couldn’t eat it’s way through, was the element, Quartz. Meaning that SCP-5736’s cell, would be made of pure Quartz.
Even though, being highly corrosive and dangerous. SCP-5736-A, has been observed, slowly starting to weaken, and is to be dubbed non-corrosive by mid, to late 2021, ultimately being declared ‘Neutralized’. SCP-5736, is to be newly classified, as ‘Safe’ as a result of this occurrence. More testing would be carried out on a later date. After as much testing on SCP-5736 can be run as possible, Mobile Task Unit ‘Nine-Tailed Fox’ (MTU Epsilon-9) is to neutralize SCP-5736 with a coordinated Emergency 3-11-B, M.O.A.B (Mother Of All Bombs) air strike, instantly rendering this SCP, as ‘Neutralized’.
Closing Statement:
SCP-5736 is to contained in a Quartz cell, and to be neutralized around the year 2022, personnel with Class-3 clearance or high, can access this SCP, Class-D individuals, can also access SCP-5736, only for testing purposes, that are carefully monitored by armed guards, and multiple research doctors. I recommend that Dr. [REDACTED] steer clear of SCP-5736, his constant mood swings have worsened since his time with SCP-555, and I’m worried that he might do something stupid, or regrettable.
