Item #: SCP-5000

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-5000 is to be kept in a 7 x 3 x 7 meter nickel-based Hastelloy cell, lined with rubber lining throughout the cell and encased within a polyurethane material with a micro camera embedded within each wall. SCP-5000's containment cell is to be thoroughly checked by, no less than, 5 class-D personnel approved by level 4 security clearance. The cell is to be checked for any corrosion or tampering of equipment or rubber lining. While the biweekly weekly inspection is in place, SCP-5000 is to be moved in a tantalum-based vessel located at Area-02.

Before entering SCP-5000's containment cell, approval must take place by Dr. ███ and MTF Beta-7 ("Maz Hatters") are to be immediately notified in the event of a containment breach.

Note(s): At no point in time is anyone allowed to enter SCP-5000's containment cell without the clearance of Dr. ███████. Any and all personnel found violating this rule will be terminated on the spot. All of SCP-5000's transformations are to be reported immediately, including the date and time of which it occurred.

Changes to SCP-5000's containment cell are being updated frequently and all faculty members involved with the research of SCP-5000 will receive a confidential note in their drop boxes after every change.

Description: SCP-5000 takes on a variety of different forms, which include; humanoid figures, dormant objects or other creature-like entities to which each behave differently. There is no record of any pre-transformation stages as of right now. It is unknown how and what occurs during one of SCP-5000's transformations as all surveillance and technology within the cell experience a "breach" from anywhere between 1-10 seconds. One class-D, however, reported seeing [REDACTED] for approximately 2.5 seconds during SCP-5000's transformation on █/██/██. SCP-5000 had transformed into a Guernsey cow after this phenomena took place. It's transformations are unpredictable and can take place anywhere between 2 minutes to 3 years. As of right now there are no notable patterns or reasoning for its transformations.

SCP-5000 is capable of expelling a corrosive liquid from what appears to be any orifice of its current form. Upon examination, it was determined to have the same characteristics of that of fluoroantimonic acid1 but after Project-NUll the liquid has since been deemed as un-examinable until further notice. The corrosive liquid has since been designated as SCP-5000-L and all contact with its nature must be avoided. The superacid is to not come in contact with any organic material that is not made of plutonium or anti-matter. All experiments with SCP-5000-L must be authorized by the O5 Council as well as the MTF Beta-7 team in the case of an emergency. WE DO NOT WANT A REPEAT OF PROJECT-NUll.

SCP-5000 uses this liquid as mainly a self-defense weapon. SCP-5000 was able to use this liquid in a breach of its containment by melting a hole on the eastern wall of its cell through three (3) layers of plutonium lining regardless of the 7 different changes that were made to its containment cell within the past four (4) hours. The coloration and thick, chunky consistency is compared to that of vomit originating from the human anatomy. Under further studies, SCP-5000-L has the same characteristics as gastric acid mixed with other proteins made of [REDACTED] giving SCP-5000-L all of its acidic properties. Further investigation is underway.

SCP-5000 was initially identified by a leading group of MTF Zeta-9 ("Mole Rats") who received a report from a tourist named [DATA EXPUNGED] who reported seeing a "creature" with misshaped limbs roaming a cliff near [REDACTED] on the Eastern part of Española. Upon further examination, MTF Beta-7 ("Maz Hatters") had to be called in being deemed more "suitable" in handling SCP-5000 and would then be made responsible for SCP-5000's capture. The origins of SCP-5000 are unknown and no other species related to or originating from SCP-5000 have been reported as well. The recording for SCP-5000's capture is still pending.

SCP-5000's behavior varies with each transformation it takes. When in a more creature-esc form, SCP-5000 tends to become significantly more hostile and agitated. All personnel are ordered to not interact with SCP-5000 in any way while in this state to prevent any unnecessary altercations. When SCP-5000 takes the form of a dormant object, its behavior has no change and remains to function as whatever object it has taken form of, such as a lamp. Any interaction with SCP-5000 while in this state must be taken with caution as it still has the ability to expel SCP-5000-L out of any hole the object might possess. When SCP-5000 takes the form of a human, communication is available when initiated by SCP-5000. Otherwise it is to NOT be communicated with. Any and all communication with SCP-5000 is to be held in its vessel at Area-02 and face to face communication is only used when absolutely necessary. Audio logs of communication with SCP-5000 and Director ██████ are pending.

Project NUll - 4/10/██

Subject: Examination of Sample-004

Procedure: Testing of SCP-5000-L pH levels and reaction with other organic materials.

Results: Malfunction caused Sample-004 to melt through plastic container and through the concrete floor causing a containment breach in SCP-███'s containment chamber. A K-Class scenario was in high demand.

Analysis: All samples of SCP-5000-L are to be kept in a passcode-locked storage unit below the facility. All testing is to be authorized and conducted in an underground laboratory located at site-██

Interview Alpha-07: Questionnaire

Interviewed: SCP-5000

Interviewer: Dr. Robert █████

Foreword: A short questionnaire with SCP-5000 was taken place at Area-02 while in the form of a Caucasian American male human.

<Begin Log, N/A>

Dr. Robert █████: Do you know why you are here today, SCP-5000?

SCP-5000: Please, call me Darren.

Dr. Robert █████: *Clears throat* Um, okay. May I ask why the name Darren?

SCP-5000: To be honest with you, doctor, I don't really know? The name just sounds fitting to me… does it not?

Dr. Robert █████: Oh no it does fit you I'm just cur-… wait? How do you know I am a doctor?

SCP-5000: Because it says it on your name-tag. [SCP-5000 then proceeds to point at the name-tag]. I am not stupid, Y'know?

Dr. Robert █████: [Begins to write on notepad]. Oh yea, that's right. Well, do you mind if I ask you some questions about yourself?

SCP-5000: Oh yes! Please do!

Dr. Robert █████: Alright. My first question for you is how are you able to transform into various entities like you do?

SCP-5000: [SCP-5000 expresses a look of disgust as if it were just insulted]. Ask me another question.

Dr. Robert █████: Okay…? We'll come back to that one. My next question for you is how are you able to produce that corrosive liquid?

SCP-5000: [SCP-5000 gives Dr. Robert █████ a disappointed look and does not appear interested in continuing the interview.

Dr. Robert █████: Can I get a unit of MTF Beta-7 to extract SCP-5000 back to its containment cell? The subject is refusing to continue the interview.

<End Log>

Closing Statement: SCP-5000 was eager to oblige in the questionnaire, showing complete intelligence and enthusiasm until being questioned about itself and its nature. The subject then refused to speak and the interview was ended before anything catastrophic could take place
