Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard 20cm x 15cm Wooden Picture Frame manufactured by the company [DATA EXPUNGED]. The frame was handed over for research on 1█/█/199█ by Agent ████ ████████ after he became aware of its anomalous effects.
SCP-XXXX physically looks normal, and completely indistinguishable from other standard picture frames. The anomalous effects manifest when a picture is placed inside the frame and is viewed through the front glass. Any person shown in the picture will appear differently from the original photo. All changes observed have been unique, and generally involve clothing changing, or longer hair.
After intensive testing, it has been determined that the frame shows the person in the photo one year in the future from the present point. The appearance of the person in the photo will change to correspond with this, with different clothing being the most common difference. These changes have been shown to only take place when the photo is not being observed.
If a person dies within a year of observation, then they will be replaced with SCP-XXXX-1. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 appear as an opaque black mass, that completely obscures where the person had originally been standing. When not being observed, SCP-XXXX-1 has been shown to change position in the photograph, occasionally disappearing entirely leaving an empty space.
It has been theorized that more instances of SCP-XXXX may exist. As the frame is aesthetically generic, instances could easily be added to shipments of ordinary Picture Frames without being taken note of, so could already be unknowingly in the possession of the public. As of the time writing, none of these theorized instances of SCP-XXXX have been found, and no evidence suggesting their existance has surfaced.
