Description: SCP-5402 is a standard Island-class patrol boat of the Alaskan Coast Guard, located approximately 200 kilometers north of Atka Island. The side of the ship lacks the traditional "U.S. Coast Guard" label, and the radar is currently missing. The ships similarly lack any life rafts or dinghies standard for patrol boats. The interior of SCP-5402 is pitch black, and will stay pitch black even if in direct contact with a light source.

The interior of SCP-5402 is a space-time anomaly, which is a large metropolitan area that is heavily damaged located on an isolated island in the Bering Sea. This island (henceforth referred to as SCP-5402-A) only seems to exist inside of SCP-5402, as no island in the Bering Sea correlates to the size or shape of SCP-5402.

MTF O-55 enters SCP-5402-A, and find themselves located inside of a docked patrol boat identical to SCP-5402. Agent Essen pushes open the door, and the MTF finds themselves on the outskirts of the city with several destroyed roads and buildings. Large stalagmites made of ice are abundant in the wreckage.
Roman: Holy shit.
Hatch: That's a lot of ice.
Control: Lead, detail what's being seen.
Essen: Looks like a large city that's been decimated. Most roads and skyscrapers are collapsed or near collapsing, a lot of rebar is exposed on the sides of the buildings . Several stalagmites of what looks like ice are penetrating the ground and the buildings.
Control: What are the temperature readings?
Essen: Coming in
Control: Understood, begin to enter the city.
MTF O-55 begins to approach the wreckage of the city, and stop at a collapsed overpass. Agent Iry walks over to the part where the road snapped.
Iry: I found a corpse, looks human.
Control: Collect some hair or skin samples for testing.
Agent Iry begins to collect samples as a humanoid figure darts from the left end of the overpass to the right end of the same overpass
Hatch: The fuck was that?
Agent Hatch begins to step towards the end of the overpass, but halts as soon as a mob of three humanoids in torn and crudely sewn clothing wielding makeshift weaponry. Roman and Silver quickly draw their weapons, which causes the three to stop.
Roman: Move a muscle and you'll regret it. Now tell me who and what you are.
The tallest member of the mob looks at Roman confused.
Control: Lead, report what's just happened
Essen: Hatch just got ambushed by three disheveled humanoids, all of which don't appear to understand English.
Roman attempts to repeat the question in Yupik, then in Inupiat. No response from the three humanoids.
Essen: Control, subjects don't understand languages common in Alaska
Control: Understood. Send two agents to escort the three back to base.
Essen: Got it. Silver and Roman, get 'em back to base, then meet us back here.
Roman: Kapeesh.
Agents Roman and Silver motion with their guns the direction towards SCP-5042. The three humanoids appear to understand, and walk that direction. Roman and Silver follow closely behind.
Hatch: Iry how's the sample collecting going?
Iry: I've got skin, hair, and a frozen piece of blood. Appears all his bodily fluids are frozen, including saliva.
Control: Lead, continue down the street. Can you see any signs to indicate a name?
Essen: There's a sign infront of a destroyed building. Looks more like a stone plaque than a street sign.
Control: Run down to it and report what it says.
Essen: Got it.
Agent Essen approaches the sign, as Agents Hatch and Iry follow suit. Agent Essen begins to read out each letter one by one. Control repeats the letters to confirm. As this happens, Agent Hatch notices a run down and possibly abandoned vehicle.
Hatch: Hey you two, come look at this.
Agent Iry approaches the vehicle, and examines it as well. Agent Essen at this point is still confirming what the sign said. Agent Iry opens the driver's side door, and the vehicle detonates. Agent Iry's left arm is blown off, and hot pieces of metal proceed to be launched into her face, torso, and neck. Agent Hatch is thrown back, and is presumed to have landed on his neck by the angle of his fall. Agent Essen is presumed impaled, as he collapsed without warning and a small shard poking out of the center of his chest.

End Notes: Recovered subjects are dubbed 5042-A-1, 5042-A-2, and 5042-A-3. Agents Essen, Hatch, and Iry are presumed dead. Roman and Silver are kept from reentering SCP-5042.
