Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be put in an anomylous storage locker at Site 12. SCP-XXXX is kept inside a standard watch display case, and is only allowed use by Level 4 researchers assigned to areas where time in the current location tasked for the individual cannot be recorded or identified, if allowed by the 05 Council.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a black and grey Armitron wristwatch, specifically of the “Automatic Skeleton” variety. It has a visible set of inner workings shown from behind the glass that protects the arms of the watch, and the rounded front of the watch measures 0.03 meters in diameter. Around the arm section is a section of dots that indicate the references for time in analog format. Outside of the glass is another section, which is a pattern of dots and numbers, which reference time by the hour in 10-minute seperation.
The chain on SCP-XXXX, as well as the back of the watch that contains the battery, are made out of stainless steel.
When an individual wears SCP-XXXX on any of their wrists, SCP-XXXX will activate it’s anomalous properties. SCP-XXXX has the ability to give the individual that wears it all geological information on their current surroundings, which are, but not limited to:
- The current date of the location
- The current time of the location, whether specific or Regional Time Zone
- Current elevation and altitude of current location
- Current temperature of current location
- Current location within the world
The listed effects of SCP-XXXX automatically change within the user’s mind as the individual changes location and time zone, and the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX de-manifest once taken off.
SCP-XXXX was reported of it’s existence from Carter S██████, a geological reasercher formerly funded by the U.S government, who had close affiliations with the Foundation, and is one of the few individuals outside of the Foundation and local governments who were allowed to have knowledge of the Foundation’s existence. After SCP-XXXX was confiscated, Carter was then questioned, in which he statedthat it had “modifications” added to it after he took it to a close friend for repairs. When local authorities traced the individual’s address and looked up the identification, however, it was discovered that this “friend” of Carter’s was secretly a marketer for Marshall, Carter and Dark LTD. Though authorities were extremely concerned about the act in which this individual was in, the Foundation decided to not interfere with the acts of the individual, due to the fact that doing so would alert other marketers that their operations would be hijacked.
