Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX should be contained within a 6'x6'x6' metal box, at no point should there be more than two personnel in the vicinity of SCP-XXXX except during testing. Personnel are also to wear protective suit and metal plating to prevent an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. Due to SCP-XXXX being non-lethal all personnel are allowed access providing that the proper paperwork has been filled out.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an wire cable approximately five inches in length with what appears to be audio adaptors at each end. when in the presence of organic matter SCP-XXXX will attempt to latch onto that matter. SCP-XXXX is capable of latching onto inorganic materials, but will not do so unless it is already latched onto organic matter. When two objects are linked using SCP-XXXX some of their features will be swapped. If exposed for less than 30 minutes the effect of SCP-XXXX is only temporary, lasting approximately 1 week. If subjects are exposed for longer the effects are seemingly permanent. Currently, no instance of SCP-XXXX-1 has been lethal to the subject. It is possible for humans to become linked with animals as seen in test Anml-1. The outcome of the linking seems to have a pattern, but requires more research.
