Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4862 can be safely locked in a standard containment chamber, as the object’s anomalous properties are only apparent when operated by an individual.

Description: SCP-4862 is a large left-handed gauntlet made of leather and brass. Connected to the upper end of the forearm segment is a flexible and transparent tube that connects to a glass tank. The tank can hold up to four liters of liquid and bears two leather straps so it can be carried on the back. The gauntlet also bears a ring on the palm with a large red crystalline structure inside that obstructs full closure of the fist.

SCP-4862 bears an analog display in the middle of the forearm segment alongside a QWERTY keyboard devoid of non-letter characters apart from two separate keys labeled Enter and Deploy. The display renders a single word up to twenty characters, and any word that does not qualify as an adjective is erased when entered. The interface also removes any word typed in a language other than English (See Addendum-4862-1 for words input into SCP-4862). When a word is input, the gauntlet will begin sounding a low droning noise for approximately five seconds before a laser-like beam will begin emanating from the structure on the palm that acts like regular light and reflects off surfaces such as mirrors. The laser emitted by SCP-4862 absorbs both physical and abstract qualities from any single object it comes into contact with. The gauntlet then distills the qualities it absorbs as a liquid. The product of SCP-4862 is classified as SCP-4862-2 and is stored in the glass tank. Its chemical compound is currently under analysis. SCP-4862-2 can be released in the same manner it was acquired into any single object using the Deploy key on the interface. No external power source is needed for SCP-4862 to function.

Addendum-4862-1: Words are always restated into a concept when entered into the interface. For example, Transparent is replaced with Transparency. However, plenty of words are accepted as-is, such as Saturation or Roughness.
