DESCRIPTION: SCP-3238 is a wall mounted clock. What separates SCP-3238 from other clocks is that under the center and above the six it say “ DOOMSDAY CLOCK” and it the clock is turned around is a stander battery compartment and to the right of it is complex circuitry. Analysis of the circuitry found that it is a radio broadcaster with a connection to the clock further analysis discovers that the broadcast is weird to turn off if it runs out of power or it hits midnight. Radio analysis discover that it is the all clear single for the U.S nuclear missiles if the clocks stop broadcasting it would launch all of the nuclear warheads. Further investigation discovered that this affects all nuclear tip missiles in the world. Is is still unclear on how SCP-3238 managed to have enough power for this broadcast or how the antenna can broadcast as far as it can and how it can effect all war heads
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3238 is to be kept at site [redacted].SCP-3238 is to be kept in a room with 6in reinforce concrete wall with the the doors being 2 blast doors acting as a air lock. SCP-3238 is to have power at all times. in the event of power failure the 5 month battery backup should and will atomically turn on. SCP-3238 is to be turned back to 1:00 AM every 11:00 PM by a class c personal if there is no personal who is able to do this for whatever reason. a fail safe measure will be active witch will activate a robotic arm to turned it back. in the event that the a power failure last longer then 4 months or the clock is unable to be turned back the last fail safe is that a robotic arm with a pol will stop the hour hand by blocking the pole will prevent SCP-3238 from reaching midnight.
