Hello! My name is BShanders, and I have been interested in SCP for quite some time now.
My ultimate goal is to write an SCP that is well received by the community, and while I have yet to be successful in doing so, I haven't given up yet.
Here you will see drafts for my SCPs and Tales. Chances are I asked you to read them, so give it as much thought and input as you possibly can. Thanks in advance!

This photo (edited) was the inspiration for this idea. Caption: The Swedish Women's Volleyball team, circa 1955. Their flight would go down over France five days later, killing all fourteen.

Page Type: SCP Article
Elevator Pitch: An anomaly that manifests in photographs, in which an airplane will appear in the background after the photo develops. The anomaly only appears for those who will fly on an airplane the next day, and will cause minor issues with the plane. The anomaly only appeared for soon-to-be plane passengers, in which the plane would end up being destroyed, killing everyone on board.
Central Narrative: None The phenomena was discovered in 2013 during the investigation of the Lao Airlines Flight 301 Disaster, in which the previous day, passenger Noelani Xayavong posted on Facebook noting that a photo she had took of her daughter had developed with a plane in the near background. Further instances noted through other social media posts following other plane disasters, with the foundation being able to locate instances from other tragedies dating back to the 1930s.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: There aren't many SCPs that focus on image alteration, and the idea of the anomaly being a premonition opens the door for it to be more fleshed out.
Additional Notes: I would like to know if the concept is interesting, and if it could be expanded upon to be made into a solid SCP.

(BFS) Ihp: How does the Foundation even find the correlation here?
Quadraginta: At the end of the day, you want to do a premonition-based anomaly that predicts deaths. Those are a dime a dozen, even without the SCP Foundation. How can you take this age-old template and make it fresh, new and weird?
- Flip it on its head (Plane appears in photo after the incident, not before)? Why does it only happen in select images? Based on location, time-period, camera, specific plane malfunction, etc.?
- Premonition for something other than Death?
- Make it an explained/neutralized on the basis of monitoring images on the internet and flight plans?
- Make it not about planes/only planes?
Dr. Hajovsky: I agree that image alteration SCPs are interesting and not done too often from what I've seen. However, I feel this concept is missing both a compelling narrative and a hook of some kind. Simply detailing the earliest known appearance of the phenomenon isn't quite enough to be called a narrative. Generally, a narrative is simply a plot that progresses over the course of the article and explores themes or questions that your concept brings up.
I'd have to say the concept is pretty limited in its current format. There's not a lot of room to expand with characters or narrative with a random phenomenon involving photos. In this light, perhaps changing the nature of the anomaly would be best. I know you wanted to focus on image alteration, but I think the concept works better if it's a phenomenon or a specific camera that causes the planes in the pictures it takes to crash. Or, alternatively, the SCP is an older camera that produces photos out of the front. Any contact make to the plan in the picture is then mirrored in the real life plane, voodoo style.
Dr. BlueSpot: I would advice that rather than this being a anomaly that can just happen, make it a actual item, perhaps a polaroid camera that has this same effect, if you did something like that you could then go down the line's of perhaps it is being used as a way to kill people by a GOI or a cult of some sort, then you could branch out many ethical dilemma's from there, once the foundation has recovered it is it ethical to use it?
- Seems like both of these people agree that I should get away from the premonition as the SCP and go towards the old-camera idea. Both also seem to think that recovering the SCP and its use by the foundation or other groups would be good for the narrative. Looks like I should do some major re-writes of this idea, but it seems to be going somewhere nonetheless.

Page Type: SCP Article w/ log of messages, possibly an interview.
Elevator Pitch: Sticky notes that contain written messages from another dimension. The notes can be used to communicate with the origin of the notes, and appear in the same location.
Central Narrative: A man had come into contact with a temporal anomaly that allowed him to shift between dimensions. The dimension is our dimension but as if humans and animals disappeared without a trace. He discovered that sticky notes could be used as communication when his wife started to add sticky notes to the wall as reminders, and they would appear in his world. He began to attempt to communicate with his wife, and eventually the foundation, with these sticky notes.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: While the dimension itself is not inherently the focus, this article can communicate a narrative of the man stuck in the dimension through short tidbits through sticky notes.
Additional Notes: I am not sure if this concept already exists, so if it is familiar I would like to know.

Page Type: SCP Article w/ Interviews, possibly a test log.
Elevator Pitch: A book that effects the reader's language skills, changing the reader into a fluent speaker and writer of an indecipherable language. The book is in the reader's native language, but the message can not be relayed since the reader forgets all knowledge of language other than the undecipherable language. The extent of the effects depends on how much of the book is read, and can be temporary or permanent. The reader will have to re-learn their native language.
Central Narrative: The book was a family heirloom passed through generations in Mexico. The book was discovered when hundreds of children in a small town in the United States developed the book's effects.

Elevator Pitch: A humanoid that appears to certain children at a young age. The humanoid, referred to as "Uncle Barney," is noted to be a kind and funny man, who gives presents and is present at family events. Uncle Barney is always friendly with other family members, and acts as a brother to the father of the children. Uncle Barney may appear in family records and photos, but once the Children get old enough, Uncle Barney will disappear from all records and memories of other family members, leaving only the children to remember him. The gifts the children had received would remain, but no family member knew of its origin.
Central Narrative: A Psychologist had reported that numerous people had come to her in regards to an "Uncle Barney", who the patient had concerns of an Uncle that had disappeared from their life, and none of their family members knew of this person.

Elevator Pitch: A human chef that is able to summon any produce, meat products, and liquids from a pocket dimension. The food he cooks is regarded as delicious, though it has no anomalous effects.
Central Narrative: The chef was discovered by the foundation through missing person cases that local authorities were able to connect him to, where documentation of this magically appearing food made him a person of interest. Through experimentation, it is revealed that the chef needs organic material to be put into the pocket dimension to produce food, including animals and humans.

Elevator Pitch: Two trees on opposite sides of the world that display the conditions of the opposite tree (i.e. if one side is day, the other tree glows as if it is reflecting light while the day tree does not reflect light). Trees are connected by large series network of roots that goes through the Earth's core.
Central Narrative: Explorers discovered a "glowing tree" in Brazil, after reports from local tribes in the Amazon Rainforest. Locals also made reports of a similar tree in the Philippines, to which the foundation took interest. After observations, they were able to match the luminosity of the tree with the time of day of the opposite tree, and determined the trees were related.

Elevator Pitch: A species of spiders that will always try and make their way to a 16 year old girl in Arkansas. The spiders can be born 2,000km away and will still try and make it to the girl.
Central Narrative: A family in Arkansas kept reporting spider infestations in their home, and despite repeated extermination attempts, the spiders kept infesting the home. After some investigation, it was found out that the spiders would always be attempting to get to the daughter of the family, and the foundation took interest in the case.

Elevator Pitch: An alien came to Earth and landed in Kansas in the 1800s and has been governor of the state since then, changing its form to accommodate a perceived change in power.
Central Narrative: The alien decided to come to the planet to stop humans from heading down the same path as the alien's planet, which had doomed itself in a war over slavery. The alien remained to "protect the interests of humanity", though they have never attempted to run for any further office (any history of a Kansas Governor running for further office before or after has been doctored by the foundation before and after the fact.)

Elevator Pitch: Last Week Tonight host John Oliver, who is able to obtain extensive knowledge on any subject with little to no public awareness.
Central Narrative: The foundation became aware that John Oliver was planning a piece about the SCP foundation, as the foundation was unbeknownst to the public. The foundation discovered that Oliver had repeatedly attempted to do segments on classified government information that was not available to the public, as well as segments on classified information on secret societies, coverups of historical events, and even on information that the foundation had yet to discover.
