Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-5980 containment is impossible. SCP-5980 will disappear and reappear and must be reacquired every few months. All local authorities are given a description of SCP-5980 under the guise of it being a missing person. Once located a Class-D personnel will be converted into an instance of SCP-5980-A. Until SCP-5980-A is released upon which SCP-5980 disappears.
Description: SCP-5980 is a humanoid with the appearance of a man with a friendly, round face. It wears clothing that appears to be have originated in the medieval period. It uses many names depending on the culture in which it appears. It is usually denoted as being very jovial in tone. SCP-5980 appears to be a very powerful reality bender capable of stopping time, altering historic fact, and █████████. When SCP-5980 resurfaces, it locates a troubled person, a couple in a breaking marriage, a person recovering after a friend's death, or █████████████. It then offers a pact, with often ridiculous or seemingly fair terms. Once it enters a pact with an instance of SCP-5980-A it systematically dismantles that person's life, through creative methods of fulfilling its end of the bargain. Once SCP-5980-A is at their lowest SCP-5980 will "collect on SCP-5980-A's debts". Depending on the terms of the pact, this can vary wildly, but ██████ is often the end result.

Interviewer: Could you describe your experience with SCP-5980?

SCP-5980-A-1: Okay, well the terms of the pact were he would do three things for me, and in return, I would give him my sense of self, but he would only be able to collect once we stood on the sun.
Interviewer: Why did you agree to the terms of the pact?
SCP-5980-A-1: He said he would only collect if we met on the sun, I thought it would impossible for him to collect.
Interviewer: What did you ask for?
SCP-5980-A-1: After coming out of an abusive marriage, I asked for the heartache to go away. I fell asleep and wake up the next morning with no emotions at all. He called it a heart of stone.
Interviewer: Your second wish?
SCP-5980-A-1: I decided that if he could kill my emotions he could kill my ex too.
Interviewer: So you had him killed?
SCP-5980-A-1: No, no one except he and I seemed to think he ever existed, I felt no better on account of my first wish.

SCP-5980-A-1: I wished to be rich.
Interviewer: So, did he fulfill your wish?
SCP-5980-A-1: In his twisted way, I fell asleep, and then I was on a mountain with a man I didn't know.
Interviewer: How did that fulfill your wish?
SCP-5980-A-1: He made me a rich heiress in ██████. I was on a mountain called the Sun by the locals. He appeared and said he had come to collect. After swearing up and down that something had happened your people found out about me.
Interviewer: So you've no memory about who you were?
SCP-5980-A-1: No, I just remember bitterness, and ████████████
