Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Several instances of SCP-XXXX are currently kept in a small indoor yard in Site-██. The walls around the yard are lined with stainless steel and tempered glass.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a species of fungus that bears a strong resemblance to the honey fungus. SCP-XXXX produces spores that grow rapidly on rusted surfaces and skin. Any living organism who comes into contact with SCP-XXXX or its spores are immobilized, they are then to be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. Once SCP-XXXX-1 is immobilized, instances of SCP-XXXX will begin to grow and cover the victim's body completely. When SCP-XXXX-1 is completely covered with SCP-XXXX, the body will slowly disintegrate while the instances of SCP-XXXX covering the body grow rapidly.

SCP-XXXX's secondary effect is that it produces winds of up to 43.7 km/h when exposed to sunlight. The wind aides SCP-XXXX in spreading its spores.

SCP-XXXX has a resistance to sharp and blunt objects. Fire is the most effective way to destroy instances of SCP-XXXX, should the containment area become too crowded or a containment breach occurs.

Acquisition: SCP-XXXX was discovered on 07/23/18 when a rancher from ██████, TX had gone to a local police station and reported that all his cattle went missing overnight. Foundation agents posing as investigators discovered SCP-XXXX's anomalous effect when Agent █████ stepped into a pile of SCP-XXXX. MTF unit Chi-3 was dispatched to contain the rapidly growing spores and administered amnestics to the local civilian population.
