Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept in a concrete room with no alternate lighting sources. The entrance to the containment area must have no alternate lighting sources. Containment area must have a grounded electrical outlet that is to be locked behind a metal casing. Anyone caught with an alternate lighting source in SCP-XXXX-1’s containment area will be terminated.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a modern style lamp with an LED light bulb. The lamp has no dial to change brightness or turn the lamp off, and when plugged in it immediately turns on. When active SCP-XXXX-1 creates a blinding amount of light that shoots out in beams and extreme amounts of heat. After 10 seconds it is observed that SCP-XXXX-2 emerges from the light. SCP-XXXX-1 was found 10/21/2009 at a garage sale in [REDACTED] hosted by the family of a recently deceased man who was the original owner. When the first field agent arrived at the scene SCP-XXXX-3 and it’s potential for destruction was discovered. Any organic, conscious being coming into contact with SCP-XXXX-2 results in the complete blanking of the victims mind, causing them to be a vessel for its light to be carried further. Humanoids afflicted with this phenomenon seem to develop an extreme distaste for their own eyes, opting to rip them out and quote “let the loving light shine through”[footnote1]. All instances of SCP-XXXX-3 spoke in unison as if they were being controlled by one creature. MTF Beta-7 was called to the scene as soon advice possible to collect anyone affected by the anomalous item and make sure it was contained before any others could be affected as well. Edit: It was found that all instances of SCP-XXXX-3 would be terminated once separated from the anomalous object for prolonged periods of time. The first example of this [redacted] was being studied by Dr. [redacted] when she began screaming and convulsing on the floor of her containment unit. Medical staff attempted to recesitate her to no effect.
